Yeah, it really struck me when I first saw it, cause I've seen wolf rings before but there was always something weird about them. This guys obviously not having a good day, but he's really well proportioned and detailed. smile

And yeah, silver. wink I can't wear it for long, but I think that's because of the thicker band. big_smile wink

It really is a mad time.

All the weapons are made out of rattan or some of the spears are made of fiberglass. Axe heads are mostly of rubber. Anything with a stabbing tip have foam and duct tape on the tip to take "most" of the ouch out. I say "most" because, trust me, not all of it can be gotten rid of. Still that split second before you get your head thumped, ITS REAL!

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

I want that ring. <O_O>

I used to have a really cool wolf necklace....I lost it on Halloween, of all nights. Needless to say, I was really angry and sad, because it was a gift from a once-close friend whom I've lost contact with recently. <-_-,>

This lady has it, only she's a bit expensive at $32. It was $22 at the faire.
http://www.gryphonsmoon.com/Rings.page (it's about half way down the page. She has some beautiful stuff!!)

The guy who sold it to me gave me his card:

Father Dunn's Dispensations in Jewelry, Brad Dunn, (717)873-3019, fatherdunn@earthlink.net
Not sure if he sells them directly, but if you don't have any luck, email me your finger size and addy and I'll buy it next time I go and send it to ya! wink

Bugger about the necklace dude. sad What'd it look like? I've got this eternal optimism thing going where I reckon things will find their way back to me after a while. My mum mailed me a bracelet my aunt (who'd died of cancer) had wanted me to have. It never got here, I think someone nicked it in the mail system. So, I just keep thinking that one day it will turn up. smile

Yeah, it's purty huh? smile Hmm... not as easy to track down online. They didn't have another when I was there, but I'll get their contact details next time I go and post them for you. smile

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

Those are awesome WolfMontana! I love that ring! I made a Celtic cross ring in jewelry class and I've had to take it off because there's some sort of alloy or something in the silver that bothers my finger sad But I guess now I can find something else to put there, lol

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

oooo..... I like that last one big_smile

I tried to make a ring once out of solder on my stove... I was really bored....

it worked, sort of, but I decided to stop when I poured some solder in the mold a second time and got 3rd degree burns on my face from the resulting explosion.

in the end I was ok, the burns were fairly unnoticable about a week or so later.

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

oh, and it sounds like you might be allergic to the nickel they put in some silver alloys. I have a friend that had an allergic reaction to his chain and belt buckle because of that hmm

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

That's probably what it is then. I have some silver jewelry, but it doesn't do anything to me. We melt down all the scrap silver in jewelry class and there's some crags in the ring from the impurities, so someone probably spaced off and put some nickel scraps into the scrap dish. Thanks Howl!

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

That was useful because I had no clue what was going on except my ring was suddenly bothering my pinky. Now I know and I don't have to ponder (and why my ring has crags makes more sense). Everything comes together! big_smile Yay!

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

just wait until my knowledge of how to make a portable welder out of some radio parts, how to fool thermal motion sensors, and how to fool a fingerprint scanner comes together big_smile

as for all the random factoids and the spellings of long words...I'll probably wind up on a game show and ALL of the questions will be those things....

if that happens, I'll bet the first words out of my mouth will be "Are you @#$ting me?".

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

I talked to a friend of a friend of mine awhile ago about doing a custom moonstone ring or pendant in the shape of a full moon, something way different and cool, so hopefully someday, as that would be cool I think.  (I think I mentioned that to Black Shuck once before).  Not sure where to get moonstone from except from like a rock shop (probably on-line too somewhere).  I have moonstone rune stones.

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

lol That would be great man! I love your random knowledge though! It's almost like this kid I go to school with, except I can understand and could actually uses for all your ideas and what you know (like the magnetic ball bearing gun). The only uses I've had for this kid is getting him to unlock teacher's doors with plastic cards and hacking elevators big_smile The elevator one's sweet. You hold the door closed button and push the button for the floor you want and the elevator will take you up without stopping at the other floors, even when other people call for it big_smile
