#2 -- the first Bubba issue I got off the stands -- was all about monster truck racing and cheap carnivals...now vampyres and aliens?  I can see this going sorta like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles did; starting our kinda rough, and getting more "polished" as it gets more popular.

Well, it's not the first time he's bumped into creatures from another planet. (Although it is the first time that the aliens in question have lived to tell the tale.) And there's always been a fantastic element to all the stories, from Bob's mystical wisdom to the lyncathropically infectious poodle that transformed Bubba into the werewolf we all know and love. If anything, I think the stories are just getting more ambitious – and personally, I'm all for it!

BUBBA isn't exactly the poster boy for rational thought especially when he's been drinkin, needless to say that it was very early in the morning(3:30 am) and in the outskirts of a small country town .
BUBBA and his "BUBBAMOBILE" posed more of a mortal threat to the local livestock than he did to the human population.
Mitch and I do not abdicate public drunkeness unless of course it proves to be harmless and of course entertaining to those who observe it.smile

The "Bobster" will definetly make a return appearance in upcoming issues of "BUBBA".
He is one of the wayward werewolf's closest friends and kindred spirit  , a spiritual guide if you will who tries to steer BUBBA albeit with difficulty onto the righteous path ,and away from his more"primal" yearnings.
Bob is one of the main reasons that BUBBA hasn't been tarred & feathered or burned at the stake by the good people of "Pig's Knuckle Bend".
He may very well make an appearance in the upcoming feature film as well...stay tuned!

....Very Carefully!
The "BUBBAMOBILE" is quite an extraordinary feat of American automobile craftsmanship, not only has it survived countless drunken crashes into almost everything from telephone poles to the local "Farm Stores" outlet at the hands of our favorite werewolf, but it can also hold some of the mangiest ,nastiest critters in Central Florida.
BUBBA'S monster rig will be shown more in detail in upcoming issues of his mag till then you'll just have to wait for the "Pimp My Truck" episode.
If you are unfortunate enough to be walking or driving down a small country road late at night and you happen to come across this vehicle....."GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY"!!!!yikes

bubbawolf, there is a forum topic for the upcoming Bubba movie also, you may want to check that topic out, but to answer your question real quick, here's a post regarding the T-shirts:

RealDealBubba wrote:

Sorry to miss ya Blue! The only comic folks at N-Ville were me and Eric Powell from the Goon. nice fella!! We had the two biggest "punch out artists" (Comic-wise)  in the room, next to Sid and Ken Foree. and they're too mellow for trouble making off the screen, but then again, if ya come up and ask them to do it...ya never know! LOL! And I told Eric that the Goon and Bubba should go to Norton's pub, shake down the citizens, grab all the beer money, kick everyone out and make 'em wait outside till we drank up the supplies! Hey, it's all about the beer! LOL!
Anyway...Heck yeah, ya'll can post art! Geez, that's half the fun of it!  By the way, the shirts are in!!!! write Bubbawolf@hotmail.com  and get em while they last! We got grey and white(For Now) Double sided with the Cracker County logo and Bubba head in large and Xl. We custom order double and triple Xl as ya want them. By the way, we just crawled home from Nashville and the Con was mighty fine!  Sweet! We were up there promoting the new film and the fans were all about it. Dang it was tough to leave everyone. Well, that's cause we duct taped most of 'em into their rooms. Dang, the over charges will be fierce! LOL!  Tahnks to all who came to see us. Sid's dang line was so long, it stretched to Kentucky! I was back there with the big man and we spoke to dozens of people who had read Bubb and knew the jive. Nice! But my hard core crew of buddies here will always rule the outhouse with us. Go Team Bubba !

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

Thanks Blue and ya'll kindly!
The shirts are selling fast and we only have XL left until the next order which will be real soon. So, get ‘em while ya can! Swamp thing is right, we'll be putting out more comics even though the movie is taking up a LOT of time. But I always write way in advance, so Shawn will be getting ready to draw the Bubba/ Bob team up entitled ; "Rumble in Romania!" Bubba and Bob head over to Europe for a beer drinking competition and wind up facing down a REAL werewolf who is working with those lousy "Happy Face Nazis" from Bubba # 1 Brass Ball edition. What they're up to could be the destruction of gaming as we know it and Bubba ain't gonna let that happen! You'll see that book right around the middle to late  Summer. In the meantime: www.bubbatheredneckwerewolf.com is almost ready to open!

I’ll be writing my “Tales of the Southland” short stories to supplement the time between Bubba books, so relax and spend the next few months with the folks here in Cracker County as I post a new story every month. This time, we have Bubba having to move because of a sinkhole, but as he tries to fill it in, he falls through and discovers a whole new society and new undiscovered place, where all sinkhole victims from the south, wind up called “Redneckia”!  I’ll tell ya’ll this tale at the website soon. So, just stop droolin’, Blue!

By the way, since Bubba has gotten so popular lately, I’ve been getting…Ahem…E-mails about the word “Cracker. Let’s clear this up now and we’ll use HISTORY books that can be gotten at any local library to do it with, plus a bit of historical fact supplied by the folks who really had this nation first, the American Indians.

Back around the end of the war of 1812, Andrew Jackson, had journeyed to South America on a diplomatic mission and saw that the South American Caballeros (Cowboys) ran herds of beef cattle in the tall Pampas grass. To control the herds, they used Bull whips as Cattle react to loud noise (Check out an old western where a stampede occurred due to the lead bull hearing a Rattlesnake). Well, the six shooter hadn’t been invented yet, so the whip was the only way to control the herds.

When ol’ Hickory (Jackson) got back to the US, he knew that Florida had an environment close to the Pampas and started giving out US grants to anyone willing to start beef herding down there. When the towns people heard the crack of their whips when the herds were driven to town, the locals would say” Here come the ‘Crackers!” and so it went.

No, Texas is NOT the home of the first US cowboys…FLORIDA was. Although, Texas has done a dang good job with 'em an' a tip of the Stetson to those folks! And...No, even though Jackson had run-ins with the local native Americans and a group of Black troops sent and supplied by British forces during the 1812 conflict near the Florida Panhandle…the primary goal of the Crackers was Beef production for a young and growing land. By the way, most of this story was told to me by a good friend and fellow writer Owl Goingback (CROTA, Evil Whispers and other cool horror novels of which he has written... AND he won a Bram Stoker award for CROTA), who is Choctaw Cherokee by ethnic background.  This tale  and several history books were the sources for what I just told ya’ll. Those OTHER stories do have basis in fact, but the Florida Cracker is about Cowboys NOT the horrible disgusting mis-treatment, incarceration and forced labor on the part of fellow Americans of African descent.

This topic is way too volatile and hurtful for anyone to make fun of and so, this is the provenance of Bubba’s County. I can’t say what went on elsewhere because that’s up to ya’ll to discover and please use a book and not the dang Internet. Some stuff on the net has no basis in fact and, while some does, it’s hard to tell what story ya’ll will get.

Now let’s get back to business…

Shawn has limited edition prints that are a sight to behold! Ya’ll gotta get one of these gems. Shawn worked like a madman on these to get them looking perfect! Also, Mike Dolce ,our colorist from Bubba super sci-fi has his book SIRE up for ordering in Diamond and it’s great! Bubba subscribes and so should ya’ll… An’ he uses some of his BEER money for it too! LOL!

An’ while I’m here ya’ll need to go to: http://www.werewolf-movies.com/ and vote at the movie poll. Bubba is number three out of 7, but I know we can do better than that! So, come show yer support and vote for Bubba …or else, I‘ll make ya’ll go through another of my damn history lessons and that will take the buzz right off  yer bottles! LOL! Take care ya’ll and be well! VOTE BUBBA!!

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

Who says comic books can't be educational?
Mitch Hyman has proven once again that ignorance is the opium of the masses by defining the term "Cracker" and proving that although a group of people may find it as an offensive term ,that the word can have a totally different meaning altogether...At one time in this country cigarettes were referred to as "fags" and that the term "gay" actually described a happy ,carefree feeling.
The next issue of "BUBBA"(Rumble in Romania) should be out by the end of the summer,I have been working on the cover art for the issue and will soon be working on the interiors...and yes the next issue will feature a guest appearance of "the Bob"!
                                                                                 -stay tuned cool

No , I am not insulting Mitch Fuzzball , I am refering to those parties who are ignorant in thinking that a term or word would only have one meaning , they need only look in a dictionary every once in a while to confirm this!
Mitch told me about someone taking exception to the term "Cracker" for some reason and he told me that he was going to educate some folks about the origin of the word..
I'm not biting the hand that feeds me because to be honest ,I need my right hand to write and draw every now and again...I'm not talented enough to draw left handed!
Mitch is quite an intelligent guy and quite the student of history among other things,I apologize if you mistook my comments as an attack on Mitch..it's quite the opposite for I was ,in fact supporting Mitch on the matter...I have no reason at all to insult the man...
