Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

Hi Matt,
Glad to hear that you have some copies heading your way,you worked on the books afterall so you should at least get some complimentary copies of the finished product.
Yeah , I'm kind of looking forward to doing my take on the "Simian Duo" can't promise they will look as cute and innocent as they appear in the book though...Maybe sometime in the future Mitch & Larry can get together and write up a "BUBBA/Apeman & Monkeyboy" story ,a crossover if you will.
We'll see what destiny blows our way,in the meantime take it easy and enjoy a pint of Guinness for me.
                                                                          -later , Shawn cool

Thanks man,
Not very comfortable writing about myself , so I hope it wasn't too long and boring , the good news is up till now I have lived a pretty mundane life....but that will all change once Salma Hayek lifts that restraining order and starts answering my letters..I mean Christ! what does a guy have to do to get a little lovin'? hmm

Why the new pupils in Bubba's eyes?

When I started drawing pictures of Bubba years ago for Mitch I originally had the blank "lil orphan Annie" eyes, but as I drew the character more and more I thought showing his pupils would give him more expression in the face, reflect on the human inside of him.
You only see Bubba's pupils when he is in a relaxed ,normal mood...but when he is aroused or irritated or downright pissed then those glowing blank yellow eyes reappear,so whenever you see him with no pupils....WATCH OUT...It's ASS WHOOPIN' TIME!!!! big_smile

Thanks for the explanation, SWAMP THING!

Figarou,
Nice work on the Dragons man , especially liked the one eating the Wolf head, and great fire effects on that last dragon.

Not a problem man , I aim to please, maybe sometime in the future If I can sell the idea to Mitch and we have produced a nice little body of "BUBBA" issues I would like to do a "Who's Who in the BUBBA universe" .
A reference guide to all the main characters that have appeared in the books , along with their individual stats and histories...but again we will have to produce a certain number of finished issues before we do this....

He he!! Thanks. I made 2 versions of the dragon eating the wolf. The wolf didn't taste very good in the 2nd version. I even made the dragon go "BLEH" afterwards. big_smile

As for the fire effects, I borrowed that. I edited it into the animation to make it look as if he is breathing fire when he sneezed. big_smile

I also have an idea for a "BUBBA" coloring and activity book for all ages, and I think Mitch is thinking of doing a "BUBBA"cook book focusing on some of Bubba's favorite Cajun , and Creole dishes....again this is all a ways in the future , right now our main priority is to produce the film and to get the books out on more of a regular schedule..."reward the fans , Build that FANBASE!!!"

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

I got the latest issue in the mail yesterday (thank you BlueEyes! smile ).  I gotta ask; why did Mitch drop Brass Ball?  Or was it the other way around?

Also, I notice that the stories, as well as the art, seem to be getting more and more........um........sophisticated.  #2 -- the first Bubba issue I got off the stands -- was all about monster truck racing and cheap carnivals...now vampyres and aliens?  I can see this going sorta like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles did; starting our kinda rough, and getting more "polished" as it gets more popular.

Just no dumb catchphrases aimed at 12-year-olds, please.  big_smile

Gee , now you done gone and ruined my script plans for the next issue, here I was getting all exited about using "Cowabunga Dude" or "Wretched man" and "Werewolf power"!
One word I never thought I would hear in describing "BUBBA" is sophisticated , hell you want sophistication watch the "Dukes of Hazzard".
As for the Brass Ball moniker that was once home to the south's most infamous Werewolf,it is no more, for further details as to the hows and whys consult the man himself....Mitch.
No , this book will not turn into a turtle clone, with all due respect to Eastman & Laird's once mega popular creations , Bubba is his own entity or Wolf if you will , and Mitch and I along with most of BUBBA's fans would agree that the book has a very distinctive flavor and as long as I am part of the creative process involving the book it will remain so.
It is the responsibility that I ask all BUBBA fans to voice their opinions on all things BUBBA  whether it be positive or negative....your opinion counts!
"BUBBA; the Redneck Werewolf" is 100% fan powered and supported ,without the support of the "BUBBA NATION" there would be no book(s) at all...and I'm sure Mitch would agree with me.
