That's awesome Bart, I'll be sure to continue and keep up with the series. Wish we could get Rom to the States for a convention visit.

lol... that was my response when I first got the pages myself!
Speaking of pages, I'll have to post a few of those after Lethal #6 of Volume 1 is released. The inside pages look just as beautiful as these covers...

Now that second one I like a lot. Very nice.
Are there any plans for a TPB of volume 1?
Rock on! Any reasons why you didn't care for the first cover much (just curious)?
Rom would be the man to answer the TPB status. I'm sure Alias will have a TPB out about 3 to 6 months after the single issue of #6 hits the stores (probably at the same time of vol. 2 #1 hits the stands).

Okay, you guys are already commenting and I couldn't wait... here are #3 & #4.

Okay, latest news on issue #6... because the art was so late it had to be re-solicited at Diamond... now solicited in April for a June release.
Good Lord, that is a long time to wait. Thanks for your continued interest and patience!

I liked the first one too... But the second one really jumps out at the reader. I don't know about art so I can't describe what it is... but it's like, looking at the first one is like looking at a scene from the comic... good as a picture... but looking at the second one is like having a big hairy brute RIGHT IN MY FACE. It's like one of those Russian jokes, I'm not looking at the picture, the picture's looking back at me. It would make a great poster.

Thanks... I missed out on the first series (didn't know about it when it first came out and Diamond seems to treat back orders from foreign countries with undisguised contempt) so I'm hoping to get hold of the story somehow.
lol! Those are good reasons! I'll keep those in mind for the volume 3 covers! All in all is with me and a whole lot of other people the covers in volume 1 were all too similar and started to blend together in your mind after a while (or even sooner). My goal is to mix things up- give powerful covers, but also have the cover relate to the issue itself. Then overall have more variety when you look at all of the covers at once.
I didn't know re-orders were such a problem in other countries. Well, I should have guessed because I hear people have problems with re-orders in America too in some places.

Great covers Bart, that artwork is awesome! I like the characters and detail. The werewolf on the second cover with all the guns pointing at him just JUMPS out at ya, it's going to be a very cool cover. Do they have to be inked next? or do they go straight to the colorist?

Umm, Rom? Where you at, man?
Hehe, I'm like 85% sure they'll be inked before they're turned over to the colorist (I know the pages are inked, not sure about how he's handling the covers). Rom'll have to confirm... and send me copies of the inked covers and pages!

Did Rom draw these?

The series artist Valdo (though I did the descriptions and initial layout sketches). It's Rom's series and he's art director so he gets final say on how everything looks and how it gets to that point. After the scripts are approved mostly I just sit back and watch the magic unfold. I see the character sketches and I add my artistic additions and offer suggestions (I want to show examples of the process, but that would give away some of the secrets in volume 3) and then Valdo works his magic from there.

Thank you Bart for that explanation.

Is Valdo on the internet at all? Is he from Brazil too?

Wow, I'm actually impressed with Lethal Instinct now. I still need to get the final issue for the first storyarc but now I'm eager to see volume 2 when it comes out.

Oh, man. I like all four pictures! Especially the second one.

Hmmm, I don't know if Valdo is on the net anywhere. Probably. I think he is from Brazil, too. Once I'm more established I will have to take many trips to Brazil!

Whooo! Issue 6 of volume 1 rocks out with werewolf on werewolf action! You'll be in for a treat with volume 2 and I'm starting on the full scripts for volume 3 which is going to be a wild ride!

Thank you muchly! Yeah, I'm really trying to figure out a image that has a similar effect for one of the volume 3 covers. I really think the 1st issue's cover is going to be really powerful and in-your-face, but in a different way.
Okay, back to work I go!
