Bub, do you know if there will ever be a members' forum on the Bubba site like there used to be?

I don't know if there are plans for a new forum on bubbawolf.net, but there is a dedicated Bubba forum over at the Silent Devil website. It'd be most groovy to have you guys over there too, so please do call in while you're trundling down the InformationSuperCarPoolLane.

http://www.silentdevil.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=7

I'm delighted that you folks have been enjoying the new issue – I haven't seen the printed version myself yet (one of the few downsides of living in rural England is that there are no comic shops within a 30-mile radius of your house), so it's great to hear that it's gone down so well. Also, a great big Hello! to Mr Surface, who deserves hearty cheering and acclamations all round for his spiffing work on the Sci-Fi Special.

Also also: if you head over to the Wizard magazine website, you'll discover that the staff have written a lovely news piece all about Bubba's latest comicky outing (and the upcoming movie). There's a link to the article on the front page, but to save your Virtual Shoe Leather, you can find it simply by clicking on the hyperlink below.

Cheerio for now, chaps!

Everyone is welcome over at the Silent Devil forum. Hope to see you there.

As for the Wizard coverage, I'm really proud of you guys! Keep up the good work!

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

The new issue of Bubba I loved. smile

The story was hilarious and I saw nothing of the original Bubba lost at all.  Heck!  I'd even say the art quality has improved alot, and I'm not even referring to the fact this is the 2nd colorized issue of Bubba.  I suspect Gator Gus might be the new villian, but apart from that the only new feature was Bubb'a pupils - however I figured they were always there - it was just the glow of his yellow peepers that kept us from seeing them.

Good to see our Bubba back in action and the same cajin were we've come to know. smile

"Gator Gus" Fontineau isn't really a villain,he,s more of a frustrated small businessman, think of him as more like an angry, overweight, bald Jimmy Buffet without the musical talent.
Little known fact;(only the creator of the character knows this one...yours truly)located behind "Gator Gus's" Bar & Grill is a gator farm which Gus runs to insure the freshness and quality of his world famous Cajun style Gator Tail.
     "Gator Gus's Bar & Grill..."Servin Tail since 1964".
Glad you liked the issue Red ,plenty more to come...hopefully soon!  wink

When I started drawing pictures of Bubba years ago for Mitch I originally had the blank "lil orphan Annie" eyes, but as I drew the character more and more I thought showing his pupils would give him more expression in the face, reflect on the human inside of him.
You only see Bubba's pupils when he is in a relaxed ,normal mood...but when he is aroused or irritated or downright pissed then those glowing blank yellow eyes reappear,so whenever you see him with no pupils....WATCH OUT...It's ASS WHOOPIN' TIME!!!! big_smile

Hey Matt, Shawn here, had no idea you were from across the pond man , by the way great job on the art ,very nice ,very clean work....my compliments.

Ta muchly! I'm glad you enjoyed my contribution to the issue, and I really appreciate your kindly comments. I still haven't got hold of a copy yet (I think we need to write to someone and have the Atlantic narrowed), but what I've seen of your art has been fab, and I'm greatly looking forward to reading the whole thing.  I have to say, I find your version of Bubba tremendously appealing – the part of him that's just a big well-meaning lug really shines through, and as you quite rightly say, the pupils in his eyes allow for a much greater depth of expression.

And yes, I do indeed reside in the leafy climes of England. Tea, anyone?

As for some copies of the finished issue , just give me your mailing address and I'll arrange to send you some copies for you and your family.

That's fantastically kind of you, but I've actually got a couple of issues on order from my nearest comic shop, and Mitch is sending some additional copies, so I shan't miss out. Huge amounts of thanks for the offer though!

Take care, and congratulations once again on producing such a top issue. I'm eagerly anticipating the next one...

Tanks Blue.

No really.

TANKS!

(Blue leaps out of the air as two tanks roll by, just missing squashing him.)
