Think it would be a cool idea!  I think the sky is the limit on ideas at this point, and great artwork is always a bonus.

I can tell ya'll one thing...It's the bomb de-luxe! Shawn has really donea fine job on both art and story. I would say that there are three legendary Bubba books out there....The first issue, the one Cadre and Chris did, and the one Shawn is about to launch.

YAY!

RealDealBubba wrote:

Also, the next book will have a special new feature...'Apeman and Monkeyboy'.  So, be sure to get the December Previews magazine or go to the Silent Devil Website and order up the newest  issue and get a brand new Bubba tale and meet the "Zoo Crusaders!" at the same time! Also, there will be an "Arsenic Lullabuy" cartoon to open the Bubba movie. Heck, what's a movie without a cartoon?!

Darn, right! I always liked a cartoon before the movie!

And sorry, due to prior commitments, we will not be doing Wizard in Dallas this year. Way too much going on1 BUT! We will all be at the FX show in January here in O-town. Come on down and see the craziness we have in store. There just might be some of that there movie Filming going on during the show...One never knows. For info go to www.fxshow.com and check it all out. We're not officially announced yet, but it's in the works.

Wonder if you and your crew can come over to WIZARDWORLD L.A. next year?

So, have no fears, there will be new Bubbas', more fan powered issues and other cool stuff coming all year long. Well, if ya'll will excuse me, I have to get a new photo taken of me an' Bubba. He thinks the picture of me in the newest Comic Buyers Guide looks like Skeletor in a bad Hawiian shirt. I'm ticked off at that....Cause I don't think the shirt looks THAT bad! Bubba, ya @$&# hairy pain in the rear admiral!

Oh, this is so good!

Dang! Gotta go...Bubba just found my Toll Change stash! Hey, ya big barfbag!  Put that change back! No, I'm not buyin' ya a roll of scratch off tickets! You'll just have to give me some more ideas for stories if ya needs money.

He's already getting all my good pizza coupons and a buck a story. Top dollar in the indie comic biz. The guy acts like he's wortha ten spot like all that Neil Gaiman stuff. Brrrrr...gives me the shakes just thinkin' about that!  LOL! See ya'll soon! wink

lol Even with a movie of his own on the way, Bubba hasn't changed a bit.

Good!

That's an idea I've been messing with for awhile. Actually, I want to do that and do something different at the same time. Confusin' cuss ain't I? LOL. What I would like to do is geta few of my more "famous" industry colleagues to let me know which was their favorite Bubba issue and  them have them re-draw it the way and style they think would have been better. No offense to my old buddy Brian G., but his head was into his new family and other stuff during the most important part of the run and then I had inkers (NOT Cadre!) who took advantage of certain situations and did half a$$ work. so, I would like to silence the critics and show them that the book was solid in content, just needed more passion on the art. This way, all the issues (Except 6 & 7) get the treatment they've long deserved. What do ya'll  think on this one? cool

Hmmm.......Well, the lead story in BUBBA THE REDNECK WEREWOLF #5 (BUBBA Goes To Hollywood a.k.a. HOLLY-WEIRD! WOLF) can do a re-drawing since you had all kinds of trouble trying to get that story finished (water damage, labor troubles, lateness and so on) and it shows in the finished art .

So I think a trade paperback with some of the stories redrawed is not  a bad idea, RealDealBubba.

I re-read the last issue the other day, and I realized that the mesmerizing video game which Bugger McGuyvered is Pong!

So, is Mitch a Pong afficionado?

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

Ahhh...Pong! I was just a “bar back” (Bartender in trainin’) in a little hell hole called "the Pitcher House Pub" when they wheeled in the first Pong game. No one played darts, shot pool or tried to get  that certain young lady in a certain back seat for two months when that thing lit up and grabbed quarters faster than a broken toll booth!  So, I have certain nostalgia for that game...also that girl an' my old camaro's back seat...

Now, congrats to our contest winners. Check the contest forum for the results and ya'll did a great job. Like I said, Booger is lookin' in the want Ads  cause of ya'll!

As we all know last night was Halloween and possibly Bubba's favorite holiday next to  "Gator week" here in Fla. That's when we all head out to the cypress bogs and hunt us up some "Swamp Dinosaur" to put on the smoker and invite the faint of heart to leave town till it's over. LOL!

Ya see...this is the one time of year that poor ol' Bubba can go out in any part of Central Fla and not get the hairy eyeball. Well, cause mostly he OWNS the hairy eyeball!   But he was bummed out cause his choice of costume didn't work out for he and the ever lovely Ms. Bobbi-J. Bubba loves old cartoons and wanted to go out as the Flintstones...Not a bad idea. the suit that Fred wears is made of animal hide and lets him get his "southern " exposure a good airing out. Believe me, the  boy lives nearby me and when the wind is just right...Well, the leave come off'n the trees a few days sooner when he does his annual 'airin' out of the Bubba complex. Don't ask!

anyways....Bubba got all dressed up and even had the floorboards kicked out of the truck, just so he could do it up right. Well, the floor boards were already gone, so it didn't take him too much effort. Like he's gonna get up a sweat over much anyway...

So, he was all decked out and then Bobby looked so good as Wilma, that it brought tears to your eyes...Or it could have been that Bubba supplied the animal hide fer the costume and  I  think that was "Pole-cat" and not Raccoon. Bubba's a bit dyslexic and gets that horizontal and vertical stripe stuff a bit wrong here and there.

Anywho...Bubba and Bobbi went from door to door yellin'  "Trick or treat... git on yer feet an' give us somethin' cool to eat ....or it's yer cheap butt we're gonna  beat!" Like I said, the boy has a way with words...All bad!

Well, imagine his surprise when  they opened the door and started throwin' stuff at them. But it wasn't candy, gum, caramel apples or even rocks...nope....they threw canned goods, flashlight batteries and FEMA forms at the two poor souls. Like I said before and will again...bubba ain't the sharpest tool in the shed or even the dullest razor in the pack...He didn't figure on that with the recent hurricane we had... that ANYONE  comin dressed as "WILMA"  was gonna get treated like that!

H ewas so depressed that he took the whole kit an'kaboodle and down to the local red cross and donated his take to the other relief folks who had sucha hard time this year. One thing about the folks in FLA, we are hard core and seasoned vets of these maniac storms and are always there to help those who just can't understand the mess these things can cause. Yeah, I know, nice segue way Mitch, to get us back to Hurricane relief, but hey I tried to make ya'll laugh and so, how about remembering' those in Alabama, Mississippi and parts of central and south Florida who still are flooded out and have no power or ability to make it through the holiday season. So, come on folks, the Louisiana crew are doin' better, but don't forget the others that this storm affected. I have family in Louisiana who were hit by Katrina, but even asked me to spread the word about these other forgotten folks.

Now, back to our forum....

So, it wasn't the best Halloween for Bubba, but we all promised him cause of his generosity that this Thanks giving, he can eat at the "grown-ups" table and give the blessing. although...his usual "Bless the meat and Dang the skin"  must be improved upon. but judging by his Halloween door greeting...this might be the first Thanksgiving that the VICE squad shows up. And just when were getting used to being busted by the FTA cause of Booger's special ...ahem...Cranberry squeezins' that are so vital to our holiday meal and the hangover that follows.

Oh well, have a good week and  I’ll be posting more movie, comic and general Bubba holiday season insanity right here at the best website  fer the hairy folk type fans in us all!

See ya!    big_smile

This should be interesting.  Since I've been a fan since picking up and seeing #1 I'll no doubt have to have this one too. smile

Hey Mitch, one suggestion BlueEyesWolf would recommed: consider a Bubba the Redneck Werewolf action figure.  Perhaps McFarlene Toys would consider that for a new series! wink

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

That was the best darn Bubba HOWL-oween story that I ever read, RealDealBubba! Wish I had the time to draw Bubba & Bobbi-Jo as Fred and Wilma Flintstone. Sorry.

RealDealBubba wrote:

Heh! Remind me to not get too close to Bubba "Freddy"!

RealDealBubba wrote:

Whoa! I never thought Bubba might be a dyslexic! He seems to not have any trouble reading comics in his personal place.

RealDealBubba wrote:

Aw, even he is being such a rascal and a grouch, he still feel a need to help out people who is worse off than himself. I like this side of Bubba because it is a good counter-balance to his normal ornery nature (Hey, he IS a werewolf after all) smile

I hope you have a Christmas-type of a story with Bubba and the folks of Cracker Country soon, because I always liked your Bubba stories, long or short, RealDealBubba.

*coff* Did lil ol' me hinted a wee bit about an action figure of good ol' Bubba? Hmm..maybee I did. Heh!  It would be interesting to see how McFarlene would do a Bubba action figure if he decides to do it BUT please don't make it too dark or bloodly because Bubba is NO Spawn!
