I just looked up that song and you're right. Or the guitar riff is a rip off, anyway. "Brain Stew" has a much more apathetic mood than this song does. Oh well...I still like "Brain Stew" even if it's not very original, hahahaha. Hahaha, yeah, that is true. And why are you shocked? I don't like it when a band will jump on a bandwagon to help further their career - and that's EXACTLY what Green Day did. AFI did the same thing in 2006 when the "emo" craze was big and they were my favorite band before that! This screenname is one of their old, good, non-"emo" songs.
Anyway...sorry...I tend to type really long paragraphs when it's involving bands...

Just imagine if they'd started the boyband craze of the 90s up AGAIN.

Yay, the appeal of old Green Day never fades! And yeah...the other song sounded kinda happy, "Brain Stew"...well, it sounds like...boredom. And I don't mean it's a boring song, it just...sounds like...how boredom feels.

Well, I dunno - it just seemed like it was hip for a while to bash Bush. While I can't say that I agree with all of his politics, I'm not going to b**** and moan about him all the time either. I got sick of hearing it - I know everyone thinks Bush sucks, I don't wanna hear it all the time...

Ah, I see. Immortal Technique has pretty good music, one of the best underground hip-hop artists. I'm also quite fond of Sage Francis and MF Doom when in the mood. Rage AGainst The Machine are pretty good - Zach de la Rocha was in a straight edge hardcore band called Inside Out before RATM!
