Hey White!
I honestly am stumped as to how to explain it.
It was just...weird. I could barely sleep from it. I just felt...odd. And...I think I growled at my cat at one point when she was annoying me.

Really? Was it a mental shift?
Hey I was really close to you the past two days!
Offline
I dunno what else to describe it as!
Ahahaha, really?! Where were ya?
Offline
How'd you feel after it was over?
I drove down to Sarasota and back.
Offline
Oh, I began fearing for my sanity.
But I think it's because I haven't had anything like this happen to me that often...and certainly not on that level.
Oh, I see! What were you doin' down in Sarasota?
Offline
So you'd never really had a mental shift before? Did you have any random urges or thoughts?
I went to one of my friend's wedding.
Offline
Well, I don't think I have, honestly...
As far as random thoughts/urges, not many that I can remember...
Ah, I see! I hope that it goes well for them!

Well, welcome to the mental shift club. Believe me... it only gets better!
Me too! Thanks! I went right around Tampa. Lovely weather you had today.
Offline
Thanks for the warm welcome! Do I get any special gifts?
And by gets better, do you mean 'easier to deal with and less weird'? I'm just going to guess that's what you mean.
'kay.
Ah, really? Yes, the weather was quite nice today, compared to most of the other days...
Offline
Hahahahahahaha, yes you do in fact. Before you know it, they'll start happening more often and more randomly... you'll suppress them most of the time, which'll only make them even more intense when they do happen. Pretty soon you'll have ones so strong that when you're alone, you'll literally drop to all fours or lick your paw or something. And that's only the beginning!
Hahahahahaha, did it ever rain? It looked like there was some stuff building.
Offline
Oh, really? What special gifts do I get? A t-shirt? A magnet, perhaps?
More often and more randomly...? Like, I could be in the middle of a crowd with a bunch of people I know and all of a sudden...BAM. That sure is a comforting thought! And that makes me NOT want to surpress them most of the time, hahahaha. What?! Did that actually happen to you or something?
No, I don't think it did.
Then again, I slept in a LOT. I woke up at about 2:40 so maybe it did while I was sleeping...

A ticket to the mental institution in ten years!
It's the fact of life as a wolf therian. You've gotta suppress them most of the time, as they have a nasty habit of occurring at less than opportune times.
Hey man, I've done so much as sniff and lick my laptop keyboard on all fours during a strong shift. Vin actually had one last about thirty minutes during which he tried to open up the bathroom door with his mouth.
Hahahahahahaha, shoot, by that time I was already almost home!
Offline
Awesome! Those white-padded walls are so awesome and comfortable.
Oh, I see. Well, of course they do... Life is just that way.
It must feel weird suppressing them though.
HAHAHA, what?! The only thing I'd done last night was growl at my cat when she was getting on my nerves (I was trying to just...lay down and relax and she kept WALKING ON ME...), which I'd already mentioned.
I hope that doesn't happen when everyone's home...
Hahahahahaha, really?
Well, I would say "Why didn't he just think to turn the knob with his hand?" And then I remembered how oddly disconnected I felt (remember when I said it was like I was zoned out but not at the same time?
) when it happened to me and was like "oh nvm".
...hmm.
Yeah.
I kept waking up all like, "Naw I don't wanna get up yet..." over and over again...
and before I knew it...
it was 2:40.

They are!!!!
It's not so much weird as it is annoying. Inside you really want to be able to just let it happen, but you just can't. Hahahaha, to use a funny analogy, it's sort of like having gas but having to hold it. Of course it doesn't feel quite like that...
Yeah, when I (or you) have a mental shift, it's sort of like you just lose all the human stress. It's hard to describe, but it's sort of like you're removed from everything you know? Like you're separate from your actions.
Hahahahahahaha, dare I ask what time you went to bed?
Offline
Yep!
Ah, yeah, I see what you're saying. And yes, I now get it perfectly because of the analogy you used.
You probably should do it, but it'd be best just to hold it in for now...
Ah, I see. Yeah, that was pretty much how it was. Again, it's like zoning out...but you're not really zoned out because you're aware of what's goin' on.
Strange, strange feeling... I hope I don't try to open doors with my mouth.
Oh! and the phantom sensations were highly intensified!
2:00AM.
That's actually pretty early for me compared to um...lately.
Offline
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha,
That's it!
Any in particular?
Yeah, that is actually. I'm surprised you slept so late!
Offline
Yep!
Well, it was definitely the ears and the tail - the ones I have 24/7, you know - that intensified the most.
Me too! I just wanted to keep sleeping, hahahahahaha.
Offline
Hahahahahahahaha, Wait... seriously?
Hahahahahaha, I've had days like that I guess... although nowadays it's hard for me to sleep much beyond 9 hours!
Offline
Seriously what..? What do ya mean?
Hahaha, well, it is summertime...
Well...that's not a bad thing, honestly. You only need 8 hours!
Offline
You have phantom ears and a tail 24/7?
Hahahahahaha, I'd prefer 10.
Offline
I've said this a few times now, but...yes.
Me too.
But apparently, sleeping in is just as bad for you as not getting enough sleep, so I don't do it often!
Also, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUTGr5t3 … re=related
I haven't posted a song in a while.
This one I've liked since I was like...10, and I'm not gonna let anyone ruin my enjoyment of it, despite the fact that I probably shouldn't like it, haha.
I guess you'd call it a "guilty pleasure"!
Offline
No.... really? (Sorry I keep asking, still can't tell if you're being sarcastic.)
Psh.
Eh, I don't like Green Day. 10????? Wow... they weren't even around when I was 10!
The Backstreet Boys were though...
I never listened to them though.
Offline
I'm not being sarcastic! I'm serious about it, haha - 24/7, really.
But it happens to others from what I've read, so it's normal within the Therian community!
Yeah...
Sleeping in is still enjoyable, though.
Well, I know I probably shouldn't either. But it's my CHILDHOOD, dammit! Also, "Brain Stew" was one of the first songs I ever learned to play on guitar. I will admit that "American Idiot" sucks though because they were just jumping on the Bush-bashing bandwagon and capitalizing on it...not to mention the sudden change in their image.
They were much better when they didn't have politics in their music and just talked about normal things.
ANYWAY, Green Day put out their first album in like 1991 so were you ten back then and are you a lot older than I originally thought?
Haha, The Backstreet Boys...I like how they tried to make a comeback a few years ago... I'm glad it went nowhere!

Wow!!! I cannot even imagine what that'd be like! You should tell Vin! He'd be interested I think.
Brain Stew's ok, except it's a rip off of 25 or 6 to 4. Wow, that is so true... I'm actually more than shocked to hear that from you!
Hahahahahahahahahahaha, I know, but they weren't HUGE like they were in the mid 2000's.
Hahahahahahaha, me too!
(Sorry for the long post time, my best friend here was having some MAJOR relationship issues.)
