Hey, Vin!
Pretty good, just a little bored.
Nothing too terribly exciting happened today, hahaha.
I've been reading a lot today, and that's kinda it.
How're you?
Offline
I'm doing really well today.
What are you reading?
Offline
Nice!
"Houses of Horror" by Hanz Holzer. It's basically a bunch of 'real' ghost stories.
Offline
Hahahahahahahahahahaha, really? How are you liking it thus far?
Offline
It's pretty good, haha. It's actually very well-written and feels more like a novel than it does a nonfiction, kinda like Farley Mowat's "Never Cry Wolf".
So what've you been up to today?
Offline
That is really neat! I always think that nonfiction books are the best when they read like they are fiction as it really manages to capture your attention to the events of the book more fully.
Ah well today I went up to USU and played DnD with some friends. It was very entertaining and quite nice to see everyone again.
Offline
Yeah, haha.
I don't like it when they read like a school textbook - I generally lose interest.
Unless it's that book I read about the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone...
That kept my attention.
That sounds like fun! I've never actually played D&D or any games of the sort.
I'm glad you got to see your friends and have a good time!
Oh, and look what I found:

I just don't know what to say...
...about that...

Hahahahahahaha, it probably has a lot to do with subject. As I can read anthropology textbooks and journals just fine, but chemistry I have to really sit down and read the thing to get it done.
I actually hadn't even really heard of it till a few years ago and it turns out that it is quite entertaining. (Especially with the group that I play as they are "normal" weird people and good friends. There have been a few encounters with players of another group that have wanted to join that absolutely scare the crap out of me though. ) Thanks.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha, ah that will be quite excellent if they follow the book! I have a friend reading it (and I will read it soon.) and it is very entertaining according to her and she isn't that much into that genre.
Offline
Hahahaha, yeah.
I'm not particularly fond of chemistry, either...
If it's something I'm interested in, then it's gonna keep my attention.
I'd heard of it a while ago thanks to the...um...less-than-decent film based on it that I had sat through with my aunt/uncle/cousins.
Yeahh, some people that are into those roleplaying games...
...take it far too seriously!
It's meant to just be fun, not to take completely seriously!
I've never read the book. I've never even heard of the book! I may check it out out of curiosity now, because...well, Abraham Lincoln kicking vampire ass must be a rather interesting thing to read about!
I'd also like to check out "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", hahahaha.
Offline
Hahahahahahahaha, I quite agree. It is a game that is supposed to be entertaining and for people to have fun. But man this group treated it almost like a religion and that was quite terrifying. We actually packed up and left when they asked if they could join our session. (The only time we played in a more public space and we have never done so since. )
I think it will be quite an epic of a book!
Ah "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" was a fantastic book!
Not only are their zombies but ninjas as well! I will say though it is an extremely entertaining book if you have read the original story as the author does a great job at incorporating the zombies into the classic tale.

Yeah, haha. People get seriously, seriously into stuff like that and it's scary. People do the same thing with certain video games like World of Warcraft. They're just supposed to be entertainment - you're not supposed to treat it like...a religion, like those people that you encountered do. Hahahhaa, really? Maybe you guys packing up and leaving gave them some hints as to how far they were taking it.
Sounds like it! I haven't read the original novel, but I've seen the movie with that chick from "Pirates of the Caribbean", if that counts!
I should probably read it though. There are quite a few classics I still haven't read!
Speaking of classic literature, I'm also thinking of reading "The Phantom of the Opera" soon since I found a website that has the entire thing on it.
The same site also has some H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe stuff, which I will also be devouring shortly.
It also has some other classic horror novels: http://www.dagonbytes.com/thelibrary/ I wonder if it's legal.
I hope it is..

Unfortunately I don't think our leaving really had any affect upon them what so ever. The leader of that group when I have run into him since that time treats me like I'm someone on the in circle and it still weirds me out to no end.
I think you would enjoy it more to have read the book, but the movie probably gives you enough to see the coolness of the Zombie edition. Really? Ah the Phantom of the Opera is an excellent Gothic styled book. I think it is near the top of my list of favorites.
That is really cool that the site has Lovecraft and Poe as well! I'll have to check this site out! As for legal I think the three you mention by name are probably old enough that copyright no longer stands upon them.
Also I'm going to head out for the evening so have a great one TM!

@White: I'm 2 minutes into it and this is currently my facial expression:
I have yet to see "Avatar", but I hope...
...it doesn't have this effect on me!
I'm also wondering if this is a joke video, hahahaha.
@Vindicator: Oh no! Well, if he ever goes absolutely crazy, you'll be safe at least...
Alright, I'll try and read "Pride and Prejudice" before reading "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies"! Oh, and regarding "Phantom", I've seen the more recent film of it and I liked it, so yeah...I wanna see where the musical came from!
Hope it's excellent like you said!
Yeah, and it's all for FREE! hahahaa. And I don't have to go all the way down to the library either!
Alright, I'll see ya later, Vinster!
Goodnight!

Pretty decent, did some more reading today, that's about it, haha. Hoping tomorrow's gonna be a little more exciting.
HOw was yours?
Offline
Hahahahahahahahahaha, yeah, don't worry Totali, the movie's nothing like that... sort of. Naw, seriously it's a great film and I'd recommend it.
Goodnight Totali!
Offline
I'll see it, most certainly!
Though I've heard the plot is identical to the one in "Pocahantus"...but hey, if the movie takes that type of story and does it well, it doesn't really matter! hahaha
Goodnight, White!

Great. Were trying to come up with our final band name....I said four funerals....but my drummer doesn't. He angers me
Offline
Ah, final band name, eh? Four Funerals sounds pretty fitting for deathcore actually, haha. ANd what do ya mean by your drummer doesn't?
Offline
Well, beat him over the head with a baseball bat until he agrees like someone who is truly br00t4l would.

It's alright, don't worry about it. haha.
I'm watching what might quite possibly be one of the worst movies I've ever seen, but it's bad in an absolutely hilarious way, so I'm probably gonna watch it all.
It's a Taiwanese live-action Dragonball movie from 1989.
I looked it up outta curiosity and uh...well...gorram, it's bad. Hahahaha.
