Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

Well the outlining sections is probably a study tool. I will say though I love history, but was never one to remember dates. tongue Ah, a job, that is always a worthy endeavor, any luck?

Hahahahahahahaha, tis true, you do seem to have a great passion for the subject. It is brilliant! wink

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

I've had some luck, yes, I just haven't been enjoying it too much. tongue It takes me quite a long while, as I've got many distractions/things to do around the house to help out. I mean, I enjoy reading history, I just hate writing the outlines.  I guess it is, in a way, like taking notes, though...so I guess it's useful.
tongue

yeah, haha...I have a real big passion for it.
I'm glad for sites like Last.fm and Pandora - they give me MORE music! big_smile

Where did you end up getting saddled at?

Ah, yes those radio stations are amazing. I also like talking to people such as yourself. There is always something new to be discovered. wink

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

If you mean where I've stopped at by where I "got saddled up", I'm on a section regarding India - at the moment, it's a part about Siddhattha Gotama, and the spread of Buddhism, which is actually a fascinating read.  Anything to do with religions taps my interests, I've found!  big_smile

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

Ah, yes I quite agree, religion is definitely an interesting component of societies, ancient and new. I always liked learning about the religions I know least about, then again I'm always surprised by what I learn of ones I thought I knew.

Well I'm going to head off to bed, so I'll catch your around sometime TM. Have a great Sleep tonight. big_smile

It's going fine.
I've been watching horror movies all day.
big_smile
No kids have come over to trick-or-treat so far, so I'm eating the candy.
There's nothing like watching a bloody gorefest whilst eating peanut eminems, I'll tell ya that. wink

How's everyone's Halloween here?

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

My Halloween was fantastic. I hung out with friends all evening and ended up getting the daylights scared out of me in a corn maze. tongue It is always such a wonderful night. So what flicks did you end up watching?

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

I watched:

-Night of the Demons.
-Halloween.
-Bram Stoker's Dracula.
-A Nightmare on Elm Street.
-The Descent

It was fun...and no trick-or-treaters came, thus me and my sister pretty much ate all the candy. big_smile

Yeah, Halloween is always great.  I agree!

That sounds like a fantastic evening. Dracula is a fantastic tale. I really enjoyed the book. What version of Halloween did you watch?

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

Yeah, Dracula is awesome - I love the book and the movie I watched. smile  The only downside to that movie was Keanu Reeves.  And I watched the old version of "Halloween".  I don't really like the new one that much. tongue The first half of the new one is alright, but the second half is pretty bad...  The original's the best, but isn't that always the case? wink

And yeah.
Sounds like you had a fantastic evening too!
big_smile
Now I'm eager for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
What about you?

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

Hahahahahahahahahahaha. I completely agree, the originals are always the best. I love the theme music from those older scary movies as well. They just seem so creepy and chilling.

Well I think those two holidays can probably wait. I don't think I will be doing much for either of them. I hopefully will be going to a New Years party of high school friends.

Yay for New Year's parties!
tongue Hopefully no one will get too drunk. wink
big_smile

I don't know what I'm doing for Christmas, or New Years for that matter. tongue
Probably just going to be my family, like always.  Not that that's a bad thing.  I'd rather spend Christmas with them, haha!  Once, we had a fairly large Christmas party and...it wasn't...

Uh...

Fun.
I mean, it wasn't that I disliked anyone that came (save a few people who shall remain nameless..) but the house just felt...crowded, and uncomfortable. hmm

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

Well I doubt anyone would become too drunk seeing as we are all younger than 21. wink There is however, the insanity that tends to rise when we are all together that could pass as being drunk though. tongue

Christmas at my house is always relatively small. Just my mother, sister, pets and occasionally my grandparents. smile

Well, um...be light on the insanity then. tongue
Naw, be as insane as you want - otherwise it won't be a party. wink

Yeah, that's usually how it is for Christmas for me too, excluding the grandparents bit.  In fact, it's exactly like that (excluding the grandparents bit). big_smile I'd definitely rather have it that way though than have a ton of people over. smile I hope a very rare snowfall happens this year, just outta the blue.  A.) I love snow.  B.) Watching these Floridians freak out would make my day! wink big_smile

Re: I really haven't posted in a long time, have I?

Hahahahahahahah, ah yes snow is always a fantastic thing on the holidays. I love it when it snows out East. A) It steels snow from here. B) I enjoy hearing about the Easterners freak out over Snow, especially if it results in a Snow day, because those never happen out here....ever.

I'd love a snow day. big_smile
That'd be awesome. tongue unless the power gets knocked out...hmm

So you aren't fond of snow, then?  You want the east to steal the snow from where you are?
Or...at least, that's how I interpreted that.  That might not be what you mean at all.

Ah, I love the snow, however after nine months of it you get tired of it. So if you take some that would be ok. wink

Well, if I could somehow magically transport some of the snow you get to Florida to help ya out, I totally would! big_smile However, since that's pretty much physically impossible, I can't.
hmm

Absolutely nothing.

Just listening to music, messing with my last.fm/myspace/facebook, that's it.  No homework to do (thank GOD), and I don't have any plans to hang out with anyone until Tuesday (sad) so this weekend'll probably be pretty boring too.  Ah well.  I'll try and keep myself occupied with good tunes. tongue

I nearly forgot to ask - what's up with you? big_smile

There is not much that I have been up to, mostly homework. Although tomorrow I'm going to head home and visit with my dog, and my sister, so that will be fun. smile
