Jesse, I'm confoozled.
Are you and your crew working on the next Bubba book (whatever and whenever that may be)?
Offline
nope... at this point in time... there is a special being done by Shawn Surface. Once the movie is over with, we are to supposedly do the movie adaptation.

Really? They both sounds good to me.
*starts a camp fire at my camptent by the comicbook store*
Now I know how these Star Wars fans who wait in line for days feel....

Hello Pack,
Shawn Surface here just going around and introducung myself to all you Lycans out there. I'm the artist on the upcoming special issue of "BUBBA; the Redneck Werewolf" slated for release this coming February/2006 from Silent Devil press.
I know it's been a while since the last issue came out (March), just here to tell everyone that the books will be going back on schedule beginning next year, Mitch has had his paws full with the ongoing movie project and all the politics that come with filmaking ,not to mention Hollywood.
I'll be providing the story and art for this special issue of "BUBBA", it's my first try at writing professionally ,but got the official seal of approval from Mitch himself on this one.
The story is called "the X-Philes" and it's a take on one of my favorite TV shows with a certain werewolf thrown in for flavoring. For those who are unfamiliar with me or my work you can visit my website; the Surface Art Studios at;
www.vinsonsbookstore.com/shawn.html
I have done work for Bill Black's AC Comics on his "Femforce" magazines along with private commission work ,I'm also currently working on two other independent titles coming out next year; "Super-7" by Robert Wawrizniak , and "Firedrakes" by Aaron Killian.
Here's looking forward to a great 2006 , the year of "the WOLF"!!!

Thanks Busboy,
Glad you liked my work , hope everyone will get a kick out of my version of "BUBBA" , I'll do my best to keep everyone up to date on everything "BUBBA" at least in the comics phase, Mitch will have to handle any official movie information....I also would like to see someday maybe a "Mr.Monster/BUBBA" or "BUBBA/the GOON" team up in the future, but we'll have to wait and see how things develop.....

Welcome aboard, Wolfgar! I'm BlueEyesWolf and was the writer/artist of "Why There's no Documentaries on Werewolves" in "Bubba the Redneck Werewolf" #6 (a.k.a The fan-powered issue)
I also did some fanart pictures for the Werewolf Cafe's Art Gallery that can seen during the full moon phase.
Also check out my art galley at the Werewolf Cafe's art section for more artwork that I have done and some new ones.
Wolfgar, I have met and talked to Mitch when he was at WIZARDWORLD L.A/Long Beach and San Diego International Comic Con. Yeah, I have seen your cool artwork on the Bubba covers. Congratulations on doing your first Bubba story!
I hope I can meet you someday Maybe you can come out here for the 2006 WIZARDWORLD L.A.?

REALLY???? COOL! How about a BUBBA/Scary Godmother where Bubba meets Harry the Werewolf, a lazy fat bum but so funny and so hammy or a new BUBBA/Silent Forest story? I know it has been done before but I thought that story was way too short!!! So I want a new longer tale where Bubba and Wunderwolf meet again.

Blue Eyes Wolf,
Although I haven't read "Scary Godmother" I am familiar with the book, and no I wouldn't have any objections on a collaboration but we'll have to concentrate on getting BUBBA more exposure, increase his notoriety in the comics genre, maybe then other creators will be more succeptible to a "BUBBA" team-up book...
Offline
I hope you do that and we may see a BUBBA team-up issue real soon.
Offline
Hopefully a team-up issue of some kind won't be too far in the future, but right now all our attention is on finishing the next issue and getting "BUBBA back on the prowl again"!

Good!

Looking forward to seeing what Shawn has come up with... seen some of the artwork... looks hot!!! Be sure to get your copy when available.

I can tell ya'll one thing...It's the bomb de-luxe! Shawn has really donea fine job on both art and story. I would say that there are three legendary Bubba books out there....The first issue, the one Cadre and Chris did, and the one Shawn is about to launch.
Also, the next book will have a special new feature...'Apeman and Monkeyboy'. So, be sure to get the December Previews magazine or go to the Silent Devil Website and order up the newest issue and get a brand new Bubba tale and meet the "Zoo Crusaders!" at the same time! Also, there will be an "Arsenic Lullabuy" cartoon to open the Bubba movie. Heck, what's a movie without a cartoon?!
I tell ya, this stuff all just gets better and better!
And sorry, due to prior commitments, we will not be doing Wizard in Dallas this year. Way too much going on1 BUT! We will all be at the FX show in January here in O-town. Come on down and see the craziness we have in store. There just might be some of that there movie Filming going on during the show...One never knows. For info go to www.fxshow.com and check it all out. We're not officially announced yet, but it's in the works.
So, have no fears, there will be new Bubbas', more fan powered issues and other cool stuff coming all year long. Well, if ya'll will excuse me, I have to get a new photo taken of me an' Bubba. He thinks the picture of me in the newest Comic Buyers Guide looks like Skeletor in a bad Hawiian shirt. I'm ticked off at that....Cause I don't think the shirt looks THAT bad! Bubba, ya @$&# hairy pain in the rear admiral!
Dang! Gotta go...Bubba just found my Toll Change stash! Hey, ya big barfbag! Put that change back! No, I'm not buyin' ya a roll of scratch off tickets! You'll just have to give me some more ideas for stories if ya needs money.
He's already getting all my good pizza coupons and a buck a story. Top dollar in the indie comic biz. The guy acts like he's wortha ten spot like all that Neil Gaiman stuff. Brrrrr...gives me the shakes just thinkin' about that! LOL! See ya'll soon!

LOL... how do you follow a guy like that when it comes to verbage and vernacular... whew... wears me out just thinking about it.

Since the movie is being filmed and the book tied up in the process ...
WHY NOT PRODUCE A TRADE PAPERBACK FOR ALL THE EXISTING BUBBA ISSUES ?
That way when the movie comes out you have an instant marketing tool to catch all the new fans from the movie ??
It would also give you something to market to the big book stores like Barnes and Noble Borders and so forth

That's an idea I've been messing with for awhile. Actually, I want to do that and do something different at the same time. Confusin' cuss ain't I? LOL. What I would like to do is geta few of my more "famous" industry colleagues to let me know which was their favorite Bubba issue and them have them re-draw it the way and style they think would have been better. No offense to my old buddy Brian G., but his head was into his new family and other stuff during the most important part of the run and then I had inkers (NOT Cadre!) who took advantage of certain situations and did half a$$ work. so, I would like to silence the critics and show them that the book was solid in content, just needed more passion on the art. This way, all the issues (Except 6 & 7) get the treatment they've long deserved. What do ya'll think on this one?
