I feel slightly boring now...I'm English...with English...followed by English...and a pinch of English. Some of my family lived in Durham...which is up north...NEAR Scotland...but still in England...so I'm just English XD
...as far as I'm aware anyway...I know quite far back into my family tree (my uncle looked into it quite a while back...saved me the effort!) but maybe I'll have to delve deeper...

I'll have to get my uncle to send me everything he found, I'd really like to look into it a bit more. Family history has always interested me. Plus I like our surname lol...then again, I would, wouldn't I?

No one in my family likes each other..  My brother and I hate each other, my aunts cyndy and julie don't like each other, no one talks to my mother, my mom's civil with all 3 of her sisters, but we generally don't get along much...
the last time everyone was together (with the exception of my mother) was for my grandmother's funeral.  No one cared that my father died, not even my mother....so not much there.  my mom and my mother talked about it...but niether seemed to care....i heard the phone convo, and was like "huh, interesting"

It's strange how family, despite being tied together by blood (yeah it sounds corny,, get over it XD) can dislike each other so much. My mum has contact with only 1 of her sisters...and thats a rarity. Other than that, not even her own mum and dad ask of her. I think it really hurt her when it was her parents anniversary party (a big important one...cant remember how many years). Loads of people were invited, family, friends, friends of family, friends of friends...you get the idea. Everyone but my mum, my dad, me and my sister. My dad, my sis and me weren't fussed at all, as we've never got on with em because they treat my mum like crap, but we were uber peeved about them excluding my mum, their own daughter. After my mum had a random encounter with my mums sister, we we sent an invite the day before the party...I'm guessing my mums sister must of mentioned it to her parents that my mum hadn't been invited. When we got to the party (my mum felt obligated to go, as it was her parents) they said 'it must iof just slipped their mind' about the invite.

Whew...that was a random pour out of info...apologies for that.

I think what I meant to say was, just because a person is 'family' doesn't necessarily mean they'll get on with family. Sometimes its that reason why they dont get on...being family. Every family has its problems. Its the same with friends too to an extent.

No problem....so we're pretty much in the same boat, aren't we?
