Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

Hi everyone! I'm a new member and I want to ask if I am a werewolf. I'm way hairier than any one else i know, when you touch my arms or legs they feel furry! I love dogs, and no dog has ever harmed me in the slightest. I love meat, I love it more than anything in the world. I've lately been wanting to eat raw meat, but i can't. My mum never buys raw meat, but ready-cooked meat. And where I am raw meat is never on the menu, ever. It's frustrating. And all the time I feel like something inside me is trying to get out. and on the full moon I feel like it is being let out. Then I wake up in the morning with my hands and feet dirty even though they were clean when I went to bed. This only happens on every full moon. I keep suddenly without warning dropping down on all fours and running to places. Even when my fingernails(and toenails)have just been cut, they are super sharp. I was playing with my friend when I accidentally scratched her finger, then her finger started bleeding. She said it had been very painful. And the scar is still there! I've also began to lick myself, I can't stop! Am I a werewolf?

Ahhh gently caress, looks like I'll just have to go down the list...

You can ask, the answer's statistically likely to be no, but that's for you to decide.

I'm way hairier than any one else i know, when you touch my arms or legs they feel furry!

Not really a sign, and it's common anyway....

I love dogs, and no dog has ever harmed me in the slightest.

Not uncommon at all, so not a sign either

I love meat, I love it more than anything in the world.

You and a few billion others.

And all the time I feel like something inside me is trying to get out.

It's your penis, you're horny as a result of puberty, which I'm guessing you're going through.
EDIT: If you want to get rid of it, I suggest you look up "Wanking" on wikipedia, and if you don't like it when it keeps coming back, there is a procedure known as "castration" which will end it for you permenantly.

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

I'm a girl SherlawkDragon! I'm not a boy! And I swear all that I said is true. I even have sharp teeth! It's scary. As a condition I only have two incisors. But the rest of my teeth, even the molars, are sharp. I'm not lying! I swear it's true! Instead of being flat, the sides of my molars curve up and they are like two canines connected together at the bottom. They're seriously sharp. I strip all my meat (like spare ribs, drumsticks..etc) completely clean and even then I search the whole bone for more meat. I LOVE IT!!!!

So do lots of people, that doesn't make them therians.  None of this has anything to do with therianthropy, in fact.  Therianthropy is not a physical thing, the roots are mental.  You really should read a little more of these posts before you continue with it...

Hey SherlawkDragon are you even a werewolf? If you're so smart, why don't you ask me questions to see if I'm a werewolf? And you're so dumb, when you're a girl you are born with your ovaries fully developed duh. And I wish that werewolf "teenlycan" would start posting again. If anyone knows him please ask him to start posting because I'd rather ask and get advice from HIM. And I have all the things that's happening to me that happened to him. And if I remember, never mind.

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

I will go on and say that i just joined and i read a little (not everything *thank you short attention span*) but i wanted to go on and post anyway. Brown hair and eyes and im in my early 20's, just throwing that out there since everyone else did.

First off, I have the more nocturnal schedule. Love medium rare, bloody meat, though my dental health issues have hindered my eating it. Love sleeping curled up on the floor or in chairs. Am hairy though not Robin Williams either. I bite and lick, nuzzle, and growl. Have a bit of heightened senses (hearing electricity, smelling the rain, etc.). Would love being outside if not for the bugs. lol Love being scratched and pet. Scratch my arms and hands with my teeth. And just have the affinity for wolves in general. I know i know, alot of common stuff in there, but gimme a break.

i mistook my "condition" as sang' vampirism a few years back. Just the sight of blood made my mouth water. I realized though that it wasnt a nourishment thing like a vampire would feel. It was just a...hunger, or an excitment...its hard to explain. But yeah, THAT got me alot of criticizm. haha

So yeah, i guess just let me know what everyone thinks.

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

Hey shadowfox! Will you be my friend? What you said up there? That's me too except I'm not afraid of bugs at all and I am dying to try rare meat. Except that one day a giant creepy red and beetle just appeared on my arm and I started screaming. I'm not usually screamish of them and even keep them (the small ones) as pets but it was scary. I think I might be a werewolf too. I'm really hairy and just love meat! Any meat I just don't care. I ate 3 spare ribs yesterday and kept going. All my teeth are sharp except for about 6 of them. I've loved wolves for as long as I can remember. I love making little 'dens' and sleeping on them. I keep trying to sleep on the floor at night because I love to. But I always wke up to find that my mum has dumped me into my bed. I growl when i'm angry and every day i want to howl. I love my mum stroking my hair. I'm very social and wake up a lot during the night. I can hear electricity too and I could smell meat from another building. I know because when I went there, there was meat! Please be my friend, I'm kind of new too and everyone one else has been mean and rude to me. By the way, are you a boy or a girl and how old are you? I'll tell you more later.

Hey Hanwolf! Hope you're well. I think you might of misunderstood what others were saying. They haven't meant to be offensive in anyway, it's just that a lot of people do jump to the conclusion of being a 'werewolf' without really considering other potential routes. A lot of the features you've mentioned appear to be that of an archetypal (if thats a word lol) image of what a 'werewolf' is. There are people on the forum with several different beliefs and personal ideas on what a 'werewolf' is.  So by asking if you're a werewolf and giving traits such as the one you've listed, it does give the impression of the stereotypical 'horror movie' werewolf...which is as it says...a movie...not real.
I'd advise taking a look around the Therianthropy forum and seeing what others have to say, and check out the Therian FAQ too, that helped me a lot. Also try to think of other reasons for the traits and behaviours you mentioned earlier...it COULD be what you see a being a 'werewolf', it could be psychological reasons in some cases, it could be biological in others...take some time to think things through yourself first before jumping to any conclusions.

I hope I've made some sense, and double hope I haven't cause any offense. Feel free to contact me via the email (to the left below my picci ^_^) if you'd like any help searching around. Best of luck!

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

@TheGremlin

Would that be directed at me also, sans the offense part? It's not just the superficial things i feel and do that make me think this way. Its just something inside. When i see a forest i just get...choked up i guess. Things like that. Its a hard thing to explain in words.

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

I can understand that, I do enjoy a good walk in the woods...and tend to do it a lot (I have woods near my house luckily! Yay!). I wouldn't say 'choked up' for me though personally, although I do know that some people do have some strong connection to the wilderness of sorts...in your case the forest/wood.
I think its a matter of self evaluation, to discover things for yourself. You're definately correct in the fact that 'Its a hard thing to explain in words.' I found it very difficult to describe why I felt like I was, it took a lot of personal thinking time, and a lot of reflection...asking myself questions in order for me to really realise I was a Therian, I came to this site asking similar questions to both you and Hanwolf...but in the end it was up to me to determine how I felt.

As I'm an 'outsider' to your feelings, I think it'd be a bad idea for me to try and interpret your feelings and traits you've both listed. I can't answer a question very well unless I fully understand the situation, all factors involved and whatnot...which is kinda impossible. Unless I was psychic (hmm...theres an idea...I'll learn to become psychic...although I don't think its something I can really 'learn' lol) As I mentioned earlier I'd recommend having an exploration  of the Therianthropy forum, by all means have a look at the topic I made a while back...I think it's called 'Your Personal Opinions...' it shouldn't be too far down.

I wish you both the best in your searches, I hope the Cafe can provide you with what you need. By all means feel free to email me if you want help with anything, I'll do my best to help! ^_^ The offer extends to you too shadowfox! Best of luck !

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

Thanks, i did check out that thread and posted. So how are the howl urges going? ^-^

Sorry i didnt read all of the discussion. I feel for all of you veteran therians and having to answer all of us noobies on the same question. I think, atleast for myself, that what we feel its so against society that we want some form of "yes this is what you are" just to ease our minds. To have some validation. Doubt, as you've said is a common thing. You can feel that youre therian but be so unsure that you want someone to tell you that you are so you dont feel dumb or crazy. (Like the people that say "Iz turn into a big hairyz monztar and kill lil animalz in da park at night) We just want reassurance in what could be our community. And yes, we may be a bit too eager for a response and post without reading everything. I am guilty of that and sounded stupid doing it with my list of traits that are no indication of anything. Maybe we could get our answers from a therian in person better?

What do you feel inside? Like forget all the behaviors and just clear your mind. For me, when i stare into the woods i feel like an overpowering feeling of "this is where im suppose to be." (sorry, "choked up" was a bit strong of an expression) I can feel the 'wolf within', as its been said around here, and it just feels right.

Not if we're talking about the ones in movies.

If you're so smart, why don't you ask me questions to see if I'm a werewolf?

Because I don't need to.  You've said absolutely nothing to tell me that you have any reason to believe you are a therian, and thus, I have no reason to believe myself.  My advice is to simply move on and be happy you have one less complication in your life.

Actually, while that was true, I did mean to be slightly offensive, partially because what he's asking is answered in alot of places, and also because I think he's trolling.  Go read his first post here.

Yes.  While, as I said, much of what you said could be related, what's more important is how you feel mentally.
By the way, there are other people in the therian community with the name "Shadow Fox", so you might want to change it...

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

Thanks TheGremlin and shadowfox. Something creepy happened today. I dreamt of being a wolf and killing something and when I woke up there was blood on my nail. I know it wasn't mine because there were no cuts on it or my leg. It was even under my nail. I'm sorry I took it the wrong way I often do thins like that. Another friend once said to me 'I'm so bored blah, blah, blah' and I got so mad with her because I thought she said that I was boring. It was mostly the things SherlawkDragon said. I have a kind of 'forest' outside my house and I love running around there and never want to go home. Even when it's dark. I love the smell of that forest. Do you mind if you could ask me some questions about being a werewolf? Bevause there is still a chance that I might be one. I always dream of running with a pack in some snowy mountains somewhere. Oh, and I need to ask something. Is there an age limit for this Werewolf Cafe thing? Please answer all of ths. PLEASE!

I guess i would say that they just register with me differently than any other animals. Seeing a wolf or thinking of one just makes something inside me step back and reflect. Its another one of those hard to explain feelings.

And completely off subject: Here's something you can try for fun, draw a paw print on your palm, all filled in and whatnot, and just have it there for a day. Its a real...good feeling seeing it.

Hey, I did draw a pawprint on my hand and kept it there for a whole day. I'd forgotten about it but you reminded me shadowfox. Thanks! I remembered, it felt great! Just perfect. I even put the top of my palm and fingertips on an inkpad then put it on paper. It looked just like a pawprint! Did the same with my foot (no heel). When I see a wolf, I see a friend or a reflection of my inner self. Could you tell me more things related to what you said about the pawprint? i really love doing things like that.

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

I'd draw a pawprint on my hand...but I'm usually around a lot of people most days...eventually someone would notice...my parents would think I'm a bit nuts, my friends would see it as slightly odd but shrug it off. Plus I'd end up making a botch up job of it! lol

Going somewhat back to the topic. The big 'problem' with seeking advice from others (even if they are Therians themselves) is that a lot of things that could be associated with Therianthropy are subjective experiences. They can't be observed or fully understtod by anyone but the person going through those experiences. It's always useful to know what other people hav experienced when they 'awakened' or had a feeling they were a Therian, as it can help you along the way, or not if its the case. In the end though, its up to the person themself to really figure it out, after all who else can tell you how you feel inside but yourself? (if that makes sense)
It doesn't require a 'long journey of soul searching' or anything like that either in my opinion. Just some self reflection, and recognising the difference between what you WANT to be and what you actually are. There's nothing wrong with being a Therian, and theres nothing wrong to not be a Therian...whichever you are, it doesn't matter all in all...you're yourself regardless!

Wow...that was a nit 'wishy washy' for my usual blabberings. Does it actually make any sense? I blame my lack of sleep last night if it doesn't! ;lol:

You are right, but its when you cant distinguish the difference that you have a problem. Wanting or actually being.

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

Thats very true, so I guess asking people and other Therians in particular does help a great deal. It can help you determine that difference as you mentioned above. The actual answer to the question 'Am I a Therian?' however, is down to the person themse;f. When I first poked my nose into these forums, I decided to put forward a lot of experiences and whatnot I'd been having myself, in hopes of geting some advice on what exactly Therianthropy was, and then wanted to figure out from that whether or not I was/wasn't a Therian. I was terrified of sounding like someone who'd just watched one too many werewolf film and had that stereotype of a werewolf in their head, and wanted to be like that. If that makes sense.

I found that the people here, and the pieces that others have wrote both on here and searching the web were really useful! (some on the web anyway)

Is there any books on Therianthropy? I'd really love to have a source on it that ISN'T web-based.

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

I just have the problem of wanting not to believe i am based on other peoples more...diffinitive experiences, i guess. Shifting and projection, dreams, etc. I dont have any of those things but i still cant help but feel that part of me is there. When i look into the eyes of an animal i feel like a wolf looking at them, when im outside i feel like running on all fours, and when i sniff the air or play with dogs i just feel it inside. But as i said, i cant tell if its there if i want it to be there. Its very confusing.

((snazzy prom picture btw Gremlin. haha I looked like crap at the one i attended.))

Re: Am I a Werewolf/Therian?

You said snazzy! I love you! XD

I can understand whatcha mean, I can't say I've experienced any shifting (well, not anything that I can recall anyway!) nor projection and whatnot. I have had the odd dream, being this wolf in a dream, and it'll just happen every so often. Although I too haven't eperienced some of the aspects that can be associated with Therianthropy, I still believe that I am a Therian.
