My Chemistry Teacher (Mrs. Payne - her name speaks volumes) accidentally spilled some HCL on the floor of the classroom and only wiped it up with papertowel, knowing it was a dilute mixture so it wouldn't eat through the linoleum. So, as she left for the day and the janitor scrubbed the floors (unknowingly) with a very reacting subtance (to the HCL) and he cleaned all of the school's floors with the same mop, so by the time Mrs. Payne came the next morning, the floors were disintegrated - eaten through.
It was the worst in her classroom where she had spilled the HCL, so she realized what she had done and said, "Awe, shite!"
