But who else would think that rubber rafts with holes in them were collapsable lifeboats? That salesman laughed all the way to the bank.

Well, i hate to interrupt the the hilarity, but I'm gonna ask for moment of silence for a dear friend and STG crew member. Last night I received a phone call telling me that Bangkok Moon artist and Bubba colorist Frank Turner passed away. They don't know what from...but it looks like a massive stroke. Frank was in his forties and stood 6'5 and tough as tough gets. It was just his time. Frank was working on a new story for us at STG and in his honor we will present it and his final artwork this coming spring. Frank was a good fella and was in his glory when drawing and doing his art. So, I'm glad to at least say that he went out of this world doing what he loved best. Don't let this get you down and just celebrate the fact that we at least knew one person who never gave up and stuck with his dream to the end. So, just keep on keepin' on ya'll...it's the way it should be.
Safe ride, Frank....Your work will never fade.

I truly am sorry to hear about Frank's passing, he was a great artist , "you know as we say in native culture when someone passes it's never good bye only until we meet again "

Thanks guys...as always...ya'll are just the best!! Bless you one and all. The best news is that we're going be publishing Frank's last story. the good news is ath I'm having very special cover made up for it by a an artist he thought was great. And to top it off, Tommy castillo and i will be dedicating our long awaited effort..."Hells Beelle of Sleepy Hollow" to him as well. Frank was big fan of that project. Again, look for all this in mid-winter and early spring.

Now for some good news...We're prepping the new Bubba script and getting ready to nail down the layouts...so hang on here comes the next Bubba and all the joking with the issue number is through. This will be Bubba #10. So, at least now the comic shops and fans can figure out that there ain't 999,992 other issues to locate. Although I'd like to see someone come up with issue 473,012. that was the issue where Bubba marries Bobby-Jo, but he wakes up ina hog pen and realizes that it was all a dream. But Cracker County has been invaded by skrulls and ...well now ya know where Marvel got their current stupid storyline. LOL!
