*finally stops running and slowly trots, sides heaving, up to the lip of the mountainside cliff*
*lies down on her belly, folding one paw over the other, rests her head and stares into the coming sunrise*

*ears perk up as she catches the sound of wind through feathers, she looks around trying to find the source*
*suddenly a golden eagle sweeps up past her, riding an updraft, she jerks back onto her feet and watches it fly*

*the eagle dips again, she walks to the edge and looks down just as it swings up again and flicks a wing at her - she snaps, missing the bird but eager to keep playing the game*

*the beautiful bird dives below the lip of the cliff yet again, and drifts in circles just out of her reach, lazily soaring back and forth*

(hmm. well, what the heck.)

*with a goofy snarl, she leaps from the cliff edge and shifts a little more human, ready to grab the eagle in outstretched claws*
*the bird swings away with a screech and what looks suspiciously like a grin*
