...just a few words from here in "the SWAMP" to all you faithful members of the "BUBBA NATION" that I'm finishing my pencils on the final few pages of BUBBA's; "Rumble in Romania"-plan on handing over the last pages of art over to the man himself...Mitch Hyman so that he can put on the final touches before going to press.
I also got a sneek peek at some of artist Frank Turners colors, and I tell you now-they are amazing, they will do nothing but greatly help the look of my art and of the finished book in general. I was not familaiar with Frank's work before now-but I am a fan now!
Also wanted to note that we lost a screen legend this past week, I am of course talking about oscar winner Charlton Heston who lost his long battle with Alzheimers-hestarred in many unforgettable films two of which were Best Picture winners;("the Greatest Show On Earth" & "Ben-Hur") and one of my personal favorites; "the Agony and the Ecstacy" as sculptor Michaelangelo, but he will be forever remembered as the star of one of the all-time great Sci-Fi films of my generation-the original "Planet of the Apes".
-till next time Pack members

Heston was a favorite of mine as well. He was incredible in Omega Man and Soylent Green. The guy could do it all from Biblical to Sci-fi. Not a bad range when you think about it.
Anyway, just popped in to say that all is moving along and the first books are going to print in just three weeks. Also, we've just nailed down the next tier of books to come and so looks like Bubba is now on a regular schedule!

Okay folks into the final turn. For you lucky folks hitting philly wizard you'll get to see comics done back in the day where art was realistic and done with incredible color and style. Some of the books are fully painted and others are done cinematic style. Just hang on you'll be able to order them online and other ways. The new Bubba is almost ready for print and the bangkok moon and the black widow stories are in final press prep.
Okay...stay tuned and thanks ya'll! These are comics done by or embellished by DC and Marvel pros, so they will look fantastic!

As for San Diego...not sure...lots going on...but i'll let ya'll know as soon as I do. LOL! Now on the cool thing of the day. Wolfman Hal called me a few days ago and told me that we have a new Bubba reader...not a fan yet...although we'll see... Bubba is now the Deadliest Catch of all...Sig Hansen of the Fishing trawler "Northwestern" from TV's "Deadliest Catch" was given a copy of the book for himself and his first mate Edgar. Edgar and Sig are my favorites from the series by the way.
According to Hal, he laughed and thought it was a hilarious concept. So, who knows...you just may see him one season kicked back in the wheelhouse reading Bubba or you might see him on the news finding Hal and I and then kicking something else for giving him the book! LOL! Seriuosly, I'm a huge fan of the show and having spent some time at sea myself, I know that a good laugh is what can make the day easier. So thanks to Hal and once again...Bubba fans are the best and equal to ten of any other fans! Okay, back to hauling in art pages on the good ship Scare Tactix.

one never knows Fuzz, one never knows. Speaking of which...life is a fast moving river folks and you never know what the journey around the bend brings. On that note, all of us here at the cafe are familiar with the new werewolf book "Willow Creek" beautifully illustrated by Josh Medors. Josh is having serious medical problems and please go to the willow creek forum or the Josh forum set up by the busboy. Please if you can send donations or just good words please do so!

Hey gang, great news even as I write the first three comics from scaretactixgraphix are being prepped by Mitch to download to the printer. I express mailed the check to pay the printer so by Friday we will be to press. We will not be in San Diego this year as we wanted to get own product in hand. I have spoken to Mitch and we will be planning a large range of shows starting this summer and growing each month. Our goal would be 8 to 12 books a year to start and a 20 to 30 show schedule. We are also looking to add a spokes-model to the team so you will no longer have to look at Mitch,Shawn,Bruce, or Me. Our websites grand opening will be June 1st. The first show will be wizard Philly. The Bubba shirts are in and look fantastic both in black and white and colored. Tommy Castillo headless horsewoman book will be ready for Wizard Chicago. We have lots of posters, alternate covers, shirts, and other goodies for sale. If anyone knows of a show, convention, flea market, fair, or anywhere else that might be a good sales outlet please let us know. Anyone wishing to make a wholesale purchase please contact our website. I would like to thank the werewolf cafe members for keeping Bubba alive and well. Mitch and I hope that you will enjoy our products and visit with us regularly thank you nywolf

I'm a friend of Mitch and created scaretactixgraphix with him. The spokes-model is for horror shows and pin up art we are doing not necessarily Bubba,. as some of the stories are female mythical creatures and we want to be able to to do both horror and comic book shows to broaden our fan base. We would like to do 2 or 3 Bubba books a year and 6 to 8 other horror/scifi based books. Its very difficult to break into doing comics so I hope this mix allow a chance for people to get to sample our stories.
