Hmmm a nice surprise when I saw the part of the head I thought it would turn out with a more wolfish body. It did not but it looked even better.

Fantastic Howlitzer!

Same here... Not sure quite why (and I can't even pick on any one feature that gives me that implication) but it might be the head and face that's doing it.

Otherwise... her head looks almost as much feline as it does canine. I've noticed that in a couple of your recent pictures... all it really means is you're developing an identifiable style of your own.

hmm... well in this one i was actually trying to make the head MORE wolf-like than my usual pictures. lol. As in, I actually USED a picture of a wolf as reference for that part... hmm

so i dunno. Can you describe how it looks feline? Only things that I know have changed in the FACE in my pictures recently is the teeth and the way I handle a snarl on the upper snout. Other than that it's mainly been in the paws that I've been consciously trying to change/improve a bit.

Oh, also I never posted the colored version of this picture:

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

Well, maybe it's because the snout is shorter than usual, Howlitzer, thus making him/her more feline.

I like the color picture too. Very good.

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

Nice picture, I think the smoother lines and shouter shout as Blue mentioned make it more feline and female as cats always are like that.
Perhaps a bit of the stance too.

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

I dunno, when you put it into consideration, the shape of the human skull with the shape of a wolf, it would look something like a feline muzzle. Not completely, but just as it is drawn by Howlitzer. I thought his drawings were quite accurate.

yeah that's pretty much why I do it like that...

But I get where you're coming from, midnight. And, no I don't mind you making a cropped version of my picture... I appreciate criticism/analysis whenever I can get it big_smile

Also, the ears are pointing directly forward and they eyes appear to be closer together.

Don't correct me; I have seen "backwards" skunks.  Big-ass ones.  Like, badger size.

did this one pretty fast,  just a little over an hour total. This would be my first drawing done entirely on my computer, let alone with my new wacom tablet.
