Yep...Meet "Hell's Belle of Sleepy Hollow". In the original story by Washington Irving, he hints at characters and situations that seemed to have missed the attention of filmmakers and storytellers for years. When the publisher (Who just so happens to live in the Sleepy Hollow area) called me up and told me his concept I knew there was only one artist whp could make this vision work...Tommy Castillo. Wish I could quote Tommy's response here... but let the art speak for itself! I then read and re-read the original tale and saw some factual historic references and a few seriously arcane ones as well. Thus began months of research to get this story just right. This will be not just a re-telling or re-hashing...this will be the re-difining way to see this classic and includes what could be an UN-realized tale that could be part of the American Revolution thinly disguised as entertainment. Read it and see for yourselves! of course unless you don't want to see vengeful spirits, traitorous schemes, armies of unmentionable creatures and love gone horribly wrong...but it's up to you folks. LOL! Just remember...We're not doing old tales or re-do's in different way....this is a unique tale we're doing for this issue!
We're going to be doing stories from all areas of horror, not just myths or twice told tales. We're always going to get the best for you guys...because we want the best too. We're making sure that the books refelect the fun and hard work it takes making them.
This cover was Tommy Castillo's labor of love folks! And just wait till you see the REST of the book! Every page will be fully painted by Tommy as well. As a matter of fact all the new books coming out from Scare Tactix will be a mixture of Classic art technique and digital mastering so you get depth and graphics rarely seen in comics. The stories are laid out to read like miniature movies and so they have a cinematic feel to them as well.
Now stay tuned to the Cafe'...Our next cover by Bill Marimon will be (Praise be to the Cafe' admin and the Busboy!) up here soon. And if ya'll like this stuff...Wait till ya see what we're doing to Werewolf mythos!
And no worries folks...Bubba will be back soon!!!

Hey Roadwolf... you can find the back issues on E-bay at the various comic shops and services after you put in a search for Bubba the Redneck Werewolf. A few comic places bought some large quantities from me a few years back and still have some left. Best grab them soon...cause when they're gone ...they're gone and we'll be getting the new series up and going next summer...or where you're from...next winter. I've hunted Gator...but Croc is something we only have a few here in FLA and would love to try getting one of those big suckers ya'll have down there! And this note to Zage...Silent devil did put them in previews, but it was on a low part of the page and not real visible. BUT! You can contact Bubba artist and good buddy Shawn Surface here at the Cafe' and he may have a a couple of the Sci-Fi's left he'd part with. He's Swamp Thing here at the Cafe'. I can't guarantee he'll have any...but ya can ask! that goes for anyone else too...check with Shawn!

Would that be the Hessian mercenary element of Mr. Irving's story?

Fuzzball...you always have been one of the sharpest fangs in the pack. Yep...think spy like the WWI Mata Hari.
Nice to hear from you! Like I said...things are back in gear so stick around!

Okay, judging by the E-mails I'm getting...I'll tell a little more info on the Sleepy hollow piece...It's going to have elements of intrigue, jealousy, terror and just a lot of action. There were things going on the backstory of this legend that we'll bring to the forefornt and get the readers thinking about what really went on when the Revolution was at it's height and how some... let's say...otherwordly influences came into play. You'll see soon enough when the book comes out !

I think that Mile High Comics will do international orders, but I have no idea how expensive that would be.

Where's your nearest comic store? They should be able to order it for you.

Brass Ball Comics is no more, Fuzzball. Scare Tactix Graphix is the new publisher.

Okay, one more time...LOL! Bras Ball was my own imprint...long story about why I closed. mostly due to Hurricane stuff. I printed Bubba in Silent devil and CRACKED magazine and went on to do other editorial and consulting work that left little time to do another book, that and the movie deal took up (and now the animated movie deal ) keep me hopping. Scare Tactix Graphix will soon begin a new Bubba series with me and so that's the story folks...like I said...stay tuned. By the way, come to Mega Con in Orlando to see the new publisher and and I to see what is to come. Should get ya'll as excited as I am.!

And there is your answer, Fuzzball, from the main man himself!
