Heh. That happened to Two Face on the old Batman cartoon once during a point where he had to make an important descision(as he always does). He really wigged out. Batman slipped him a trick one. tongue

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

no prob...I might do a quick tutorial sometime. Not now though....I'm still kinda figuring it out myself. What I did with this one was sort of a massive, messy mix of a bunch of different coloring techniques for both realistic fur and comic-book or cel-shading style fur...

or, if you catch me on AIM I can just tell you what I have so far.

Ha, I was going to tell you to flip a coin but you already did that.  Too bad that you can't play "rock-paper-scissors" by yourself to choose which werewolf to use.

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

lol Ohmigosh, that reminds of what we did in 8th grade! big_smile

So we had this home room kinda thing after lunch called "T-Base" (our mascot was the Thunderbird, so they called this "class" dealie "Thunderbird Base" and shortened it to "T-Base") and we watched Channel One News (news thingy made for teens) and either read our own books or had the teacher read aloud.

Anyways, the school started doing stuff on the TV, like reading announcements or something. The only thing I can actually remember is they had a game put on by students called "Name That Tune" and they'd play a few seconds of a song. You wrote down what you thought the song was and who it was by and *your* name, and then put your answer in a box and the next day they'd announce the winner on the TV and do another song.

My T-Base teacher was the school guidence counselor (yeah... ) and we were quite the assortment, so one day we get a whole bunch of pieces of paper and wrote out "So-and-so's T-Base" and the song information and stuffed the box >D So the next day we're watching and the teachers had no clue and the girl doing the show pulls out a paper and reads it off and we'd won! So we start laughing and then you hear a teacher's voice "A whole T-Base can't win, pull out another one" and she's like "Oh... um... the winner is..." and she pulls out another paper with our T-Base on it! lol And then for fun we threw in some with random sayings like "Go eat flowers" (that one has a whole backstory of it's own) and other randomness and we laughed our butts off because she really had to dig through papers to get to something we hadn't put in that box lol "Name That Tune" didn't last too long after that and one of our T-Base teachers (we had two, the counselor and his assistant person) was PO'd. We were quite amused though big_smile

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

Awesome pics Howl - I love BOTH. HA!

But seriously, you don't often see white werewolves, the first one is very distinctive because of it! And it makes the red blood around his mouth that much more shocking.

The second one is much more standard coloring, but still very cool.

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

Thanks....I'm  kinda thinkin I might stick with the white one now...

a major reason for me NOT being able to decide was because I spent soooo long on the colored fur that I was a bit hesitant to throw it out when I liked the appearance when I turned the fur-color layer off in photoshop and saw it in white....

I might do a little bit more on the fur coloring though like add a few little things...

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

Could you do... both? Maybe? Or just finish the white werewolf and the colored fellow can stay as is? 'Cause it would be a shame to discard it when you spent so long on the fur and it came out so well

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

Yeah, good idea! Why not put the white-furred and the brown-furred werewolves together? In different poses of course.

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

uh...no...not together in different poses...

that requires doing the whole freaking thing over again.

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

I didn't mean together. I just meant like, each on his own, or finishing one whole picture and leaving the other one as it.

You know the backgrounds you did for the werewolf shifting behind the door that was being pushed open? Maybe you could do one those for whatever one you don't finish the scenery on.

My two cents. Just kickin' around some ideas wink

Why not?

*Hands Howlitzer a new piece of paper, a pencil and a few headache pills*

Kidding. It's all up to you so I don't mind if you don't.

By the way, have you ever try doing a black-furred werewolf? I bet that will be a real challenge to you.

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

well, my last picture was black-furred i guess... really it just kinda meant exaggerating the shading a bit so it isn't just a flat-black figure.

but, if you mean like the one on the far right... which took about 30 seconds to do.

http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/8704/preview2uu3.jpg

congratulations...you just added a third option to my difficult decision hmm
