I'm awesome...that's how
....
no, I used something called "Friendly Plastic".... it's pretty much the best substance in the known universe. A close second to duct tape...
I'm still awesome though

Yoo Howl did you just make the mask out of the imagination or did you check up tutorials
Offline
wait...
tutorials?
I didn't use tutorials...in fact, if you look at the very first picture in my art gallery, it pretty much looks exactly like how my mask is turning out.
but what tutorials are you talking about?

Dude, he was just asking simply if you were doing it from scratch or were using a tutorial as a guide. I don't think he had any specific tutorials in mind.

well, here's my periodic shameless picture repost to those who wish to avoid browsing through 27 pages of stuff...
first werewolf pic:
Dragon pic that I drew a while ago:
here's another dragon...
and this one literally started out as a scribble that just *happened* to look like a muzzle, then it turned into a face, then I kept going to see if I could do a background. I didn't like it that much...it looks too much like my first one and this next one...
yet another one, experimenting with some shading and stuff...
Here's a transformation sequence...MarkOne wanted to see me do one...so I did...
sorry for anyone with a small monitor, it's huge.
a quick cat drawing I did, I figured I would return to an old favorite
Here's a really old one I found while going through some school stuff. It's not original, obviously...I did it for a poster for an English assignment a few years ago, before I had really started drawing again.... for some reason on this particular poster, I didn't want a single piece of paper glued onto the poster....I wanted a *clean* poster....so I chose the most time consuming method and used pencil and sharpies on the whole thing.....the teacher was kinda surprised since she didn't know I had an artistic bone in my body. I used the "Eragon" cover as reference, but it isn't traced.
this one I did using a photo from a calender I had lying around. After seeing Montana's last wolf pic I had to try one for myself
I'm not sure where in my head it came from, it kinda just happened...the pencil version doesn't have feet because I was stupid and started too far down the page
here's a quick thing I did....I pretty much stole the idea from the SoBe Lizard Lava logo on the bottle I was drinking at the time... followed by the OCD photoshop color version...
This one...I'm not quite sure...I was eating old chinese food at the time
And here's a lizard...thing...kinda...
AND here's a jaguar...thing...kinda (oh yeah, really creative names here)
and here's a kinda tribal/tattoo wolf design I made...
And here's my progress thus far with the werewolf mask...

more progress on the mask....
I added a couple teeth and did some more on the forehead...
I also used that yellow poster putty stuff to stick the teeth together so i could keep the jaw from moving while I finish the joint for what will hopefully be an articulating jaw...
Offline
Lookin' COOL!
Offline
so yeah...I'm having a dilemma...
here's the mask so far...
as you can see, I smoothed out the cracks a bit, and fused the top and bottom halves temporarily...
however, from how it looks now, I'm wondering if I should even risk trying to make the bottom jaw movable...
so, I'd like a vote...or at least your opinions...
Offline
Very awesome ^^
Offline
Well, if you want your mask more lifelike, have the lower jaw movable.
No werewolves walks around with stiff jaws.
So I vote yes to have his lower jaw movable.
