Sorry bout that, but I couldn't help myself.
He is really cute.. sheesh. So, you have a little hamster bud?

I used to.
The apartment I'm in at the moment doesn't allow pets.

Aw! That sucks dude

Well that sucks!! I mean, they're so tiny, where's the harm?!? They don't rip out carpet like cats!

Or any of the other randomness like cats. I mean, hamster messes are a lot littler than any cat mess! And they probably don't reek as bad either. One of my cats had a urinary problem, we got it fixed, deep cleaned everything, and the carpet and couches still smell. And that was a while ago too.

Yeah, I know what you mean... Pah! Don't make no sense about da Hamster...
Offline
It doesn't. They're so cute and little!

Never owned one myself - just cats And I kinda adopted Strummer's dog for a little while. Now when we visit, he runs to me first. Feel a bit bad about dat. %)

I think you did a little more than "adopt"
I've a few different pets, but never a hamster. I don't think I'd object to it though... hehe

It is. Cat urine smells so... so wrong. I don't know why, but it just reeks.

bleh...
I have three cats....one of which is about 13 short of a dozen...the other two are fine...
well, this cat urinated on my folded laundry while it was on top of the dryer...and it dried and stopped smelling before I ever noticed it...
so, one morning, I grab my white Pearl Izumi shirt with this black, red, and blue print on the front off the top of the stack, put it on, and head off to school.
about 15 minutes into chemistry, I notice an unpleasant odor. The urine stain, concealed by the print on the front of my shirt, had warmed up from my body heat and began to smell again...so, pissed off at the prospect of smelling this all day, I turned my shirt around and put on my jacket to cover the stain....but SURPRISE, there was ANOTHER stain where the pee had seeped through, right in the middle of the back of my shirt, this time quite visible due to the lack of printing...

We had three cats in our last home.
And yes, the smell does not go away. Like, at all. I mean, it gets less stinky, but that's about it. Also, the cats left permanent stains on our carpet. I still liked those cats, though.
However, rats and hamsters are better than cats. I've had many rats and hamsters. Rats are pretty friendly, I've never been bitten by any of the ones I've had. I've been bit by hamsters a few times, but after they get used to you, they're fine.
And of course dogs are better than cats. They eventually learn that it's bad to pee in the house. I swear, cats just do it out of spite.

I'm pretty sure mine do it out of spite. "What?! You got a dog?!! And it's living in my house?!!!" *pees everywhere* "That'll teach ya!!!"
Offline
*falls* oh man...
anyone else with the cat pee stories? It seems I'm collecting?
