Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

Thanks Cadre! Hey Ya'lljust sending an update of whassup... Shawn and I have been getting a lot of the art nailed down for next issue which will be Bubba #8!  This one will be a barn burner! this issue will feature Bubba heading out to the International Drunk Olympics and will not only have Bubba testing out Booger's latest and craziest invention, it will also be the most fight filled brawling issue yet! Also Bubba will be faced with the biggest decision of his life while trying to end the nuttiest global terror plot ever seen in comics!

We'll be posting some of the art to give ya'll a tease real soon.

A special thanks to Matt Smith and Larry Williams for all their support and you folks better beleive that thier creation Apeman and Monkeyboy will be on the top of my get their  book out asap list! Besides, I'm a fan and I want to see another story from them too! LOL!

Good News dept: The regular Bubba website ya'll knew and loved in the past is coming back mid-summer and Mr. Xero, Nobody and the crew will be on hand to create the mayhem we all enjoyed in that past!  There will be new contests and I just madea deal for cool new Bubba merchandise that you can order there as well.  And I've become editor for a new general comics website that will have parody news, real inside stuff and advice from some well known Pro's on how to write, draw and market your own comics.

But as usual...the Werewolf Cafe will still be the BEST place for all things Lycanthrope and so no matter where Bubba and our fans may go to visit...Ya'll better keep posting HERE as this is where the fun has always been! The cafe' is most of the reason, Bubba acheived the infamy he enjoys and I still tell everyone...the Werewolf Cafe' rocks!

Ya'll have a great Memorial Day weekend and let's kick off the Summer with a Howl!

Ladies and Gentlemen...Start your Grills!

And Cadre...get yer inks warmed up, pal!

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

I heard that! LOL! That cover was supposed to be on Bubba 7. but an ex-partner of mine kiboshed it for one shawn had done. honestly, the art was good but the sideways flip made it unworkable for the putting the logo on properly and it would have been hard to spot on the comic stands. Buta big ol' retro Marvel "No-Prize" to Blue for remembering that! Don't let it happen again! LOL! Onward and upward!

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

Hey ya’ll! Back from Philly wizard con and boy howdy …was it a blast! Wolfman Hal showed u8p in his summer finest…His Bubba suit and blew the crowds away. They took more photos of him than Paris Hilton when she got out and back into Jail and Hal at least had HIS underwear on (Thank goodness LOL!)

Hal as Bubba wound up on Radio (Thanks to Philly’s Preston and Steve at 93.3 rock!) , TV and the trade papers and magazines! Also…. keep your eyes on U-Tube, this week or next, to see Bubba in a ferocious fight with a troop of Imperial Storm Troopers! They were looking for a certain Wookie and thought Bubba was who they were looking for. Well, never mess with a resident of the planet Redneckia in the star system of  Moonshine 6, folks! Seriously, we want to thank the good folks of that battalion for playing along with us and making the crowd howl with delight at seeing this! Bubba also wound up in the IFL ring and it was WILD with a capital W!

More good stuff…This year we found lots of new fans at the show and they loved the new Bubba posters we did and I plan on doing more this year. The posters will be done by Shawn  Surface of course, but expect to see limited edition ones by some of the biggest names in comics! Lots of the big names are Bubba fans and said they’d enjoy doing a seriously original character like Bubba. Very Cool! We’ll have these celebrity takes on Bubba coming soon and expect the first one’s to be seen in Wizard Chicago. You’ll be able to order them on line soon too from our new Bubba website and yours truly as well.

Hal also walked the famous Reading Street Market and outside of scaring most of the crowd at a certain Amish restaurant …he wound up sharinga BITE of Ice cream at the famous Basset ice cream stand as they took photos for their shop and promotion dept. A big tip of the Bubba cap to Wolfman Hal!

Now for all of you attending Chicago…We are working out a deal to have a live Bobbi-Jo there for you to look upon and drool at. So, just remember who her boyfriend is when ya come up and start to stammer and stare! LOL!
Yep! Contrary to rumors… Bubba is back and is hotter than ever! You’ll be seeing a new Bubba comic soon and lots of comic shops  have said that they’ll be carrying the new book as soon as it comes out!
I can get you and them back issues if ya’ll need by contacting a few folks who stockpiled those suckers back when they first came out. So, you can get all except number one and three. For those you’ll have to check E-bay or a local comic shop. But for the others… just let me know and I’ll make the calls and hook ya’ll up!

I also want to thank the good folks at Zenoscope Comics (Grimm Fairy Tales) for inviting me to thier specuial VIP party in a  downtown Philly nightclub. They put on real old time Burlesque show that was crazy cool! the nuttiest part of the show was that in between acts...they had Skeletor come out and sing to the crowd. If you've never seen this villian sing his version of "In the Ghetto"...your missing something that even Elvis would have commented..."By the Power of Greyskull...thank ya very much!" LOL!

So, we’re back and lots more to come about the film, the books and other goodies like a Bubba plush doll being designed right now!  So, write me and hang out here at the cafĂ© to meet new fans I’m sending over and spread the word at all the other comic and creature sites on the web…IT’S BUBBA TIME!

Re: Bubba The Redneck Werewolf Comic: Honorary Forum

Greetings and Salutations to all members of the pack,
Sweet Lovable SWAMP THING here back from a lengthy stay at internet limbo;(my computer went south on me, had to get another ,more updated system).
Glad to see that the "BUBBA" faithful are still in the den eagerly awaiting yet another unforgettable tale about "Pig's Knuckle Bend's" infamous big bad!
Have to confer with Mitch to verify but a new BUBBA adventure will be making it's presence known this year, sometime around Halloween, the story is by Mitch himself with yours truly providing the art.
I have a couple of stories in me that are BUBBA related but we'll have to take it at one issue at a time ,we are poor but proud indie creators.
A reminder ,if your interested at getting a sneek peek at the cover art for the upcoming issue check it out at; www.surfaceartstudios.com , my official website, just go to the "in the works" sidebar and click onto the "BUBBA" button in the gallery page.
This issue may feature a flip cover /2 covers , one pencilled, inked and colored by me, and one penciled by me ,inked by Cadre-again I have to confer with Real Deal BUBBA on further details pertaining to this issue.
I have the script in hand ,just waiting on word on when to get to the drawing table.
good things come to those who wait, and wait, and wait, and...well you know what I mean big_smile
take care my pack brothers and sisters, and  stay tuned .

Thanks Busboy, appreciate it!
The cover art has been done for some time now but had to shelve it temporarily till I got the greenlight from Mitch.
At this point it's about half colored.
I can't take credit on the site, my webmaster, and my best friend Ernest Vinson designed and maintains the site...he's been very patient with me over the years, I'm not very PC gifted, moreso on webdesign.
He has a site as well, he finds rare hard to find toys and games for collectors on the net, by all means check his site out at ; www.Vinsonsbookstore.com , he also designed his site.
Glad you like my work, will be adding some more recent pieces soon...cool
