The following is a comprehensive dump of the decent werewolf songs I've collected. It does not include songs I know exist but do not have a copy of, nor does it include songs I own but do not know the artist or title. For years I've been meaning to put together a web page to track all werewolf related music, but thus far have not had the time to do so. The list is by artist, alphabetically. An * denotes a cover of another bands song. I've tried to include the album for as many songs as possible, but several songs are still missing that information, or were never released on an album.
Some of these songs are borderline, but for the most part the main theme of each song is specifically about werewolves or other therianthropic creatures.

Can think of a bit more info about some of them... This is going by memory though so would pay to double check before adding it to your data.
A-Ha - Cry Wolf - I think this song was on the "Scoundrel Days" album.
David Bowie - Cat People (Putting Out Fire) - I think the subtitle should be "Putting Out The Fire". There are at least two versions of this song. The original (moody and atmospheric) was the theme tune to the film of the same name. I don't know if there was a movie soundtrack as such but if there was that would be the best place to find it. A year or so later an inferior version (more pedestrian and mainstream) appeared on the "Let's Dance" album.
Duran Duran - Hungry Like A Wolf - I'm fairly sure the actual title is "Hungry Like The Wolf" and while I'm not sure which album it was on I'd guess "Rio".
Warren Zeavon - Werewolves of London - just pointing out the last name is spelt "Zevon". No "a".
Thanks for catching the typos and the extra album information, I'm surprised there wasn't more of them.
Otherwise if you want to find out the artist and/or title of the songs you don't know, it couldn't hurt to try copying down a few lines of lyrics and seeing if anyone here knows the songs.
That's a great idea, I'll post some of them later this evening.
I'm fascinated by the different ways that the werewolf concept has been made into music. Every song is like a glimpse into how society and different cultures imagine us to be.
I'd really like to post more lyrics in order to discuss them, but I'm afraid that the WWC would get in trouble. Do any of the mods have any problems with lyrics being posted in this forum?

You'll probably want to put links to the sites that they belong to and where they reside.

I found two of the songs I didn't have any label for by searching the Internet again:
Magnetic Fields - Falling in Love with the Wolfboy
Rainbow - Run with the Wolf
The last song I have without a label is about a woman running through the woods being chased by a pack of unnamed creatures. It was on mp3.com back in the day, but I lost the original and now my only copy is an old burned CD with no labels.
Unknown Song
As I run through these snow ladden woods
Runnin' from the sounds in my head
Runnin' from the feelin's in my heart
I can feel them comin'
Gainin' on my back.
Trippin' on the tree limbs around my feet
I can't run any faster
Body's gettin' tired of running this pace
Day is on the 'rizon
Waitin' to begin.
"I've been watchin'
Your every move
Stealin' time
to be with you"
I can feel their heated breath
On the backs of my frozen shins
I know its just a matter of time
Before their teeth sink in
Before it all begins
There's got to be a different way
To approach this fragile game
Then hunted becomes the hunter
And the game begins again.
"I've been watchin'
Your every move
Stealin' time
to be with you,
'Cause I've been wantin'
To let you in
To set you free
To spark your light again."
Then I am one with you.
Then I am one with you.
Then I am one with you.

I checked out the lyrics here: Lyrics Freak.
I think it is interesting how many songs about werewolves or wolves in general emphasise human sexuality. Of course the metaphorical transformation into a beast, the dulling of the intellect, the sharpening of the senses, the predatory instincts, fit well with our collective experiences in sex. And the other side of the metaphor, the wolf as a sexual predator, has been part of our Western culture since before the Brother's Grimm, dating back to the christening of the pagan religions.
Anyway, I hadn't heard that song before, thanks for introducing me to it.

Sweet, thanks for sharing.
A opening band at a concert I was at recently, Cold Colours, has a werewolf song on their CD Somnium XIII called Wolfthorn, which isn't too bad.
There's got to be more good werewolf music out there, anyone dug any up lately?

There're a lot of Cradle of Filth werewolf-esque songs.
Howabout "Surprise! You're Dead" by Faith No More? Sure it's technically a vampire song, but it could work for werewolves, too.
Or howabout Clap for the Wolfman by the Guess Who?

CoF certainly has more songs than the ones I listed that seem to have wolfy themes, its just that the two listed are explicately about werewolves, I donno how many of their other ones really are after reading the lyrics. As for vampire songs that work for werewolves, techinically Siouxsie & the Banshees - Nightshift is a vampire song, but a lot of people like it as a werewolf song too.
I've got Clap for a Wolfman as well, I guess it just got left off my list by accident.
I see that +44, the band formed from Blink 182, has a song on their new album called Lycanthrope, but it is really just a metaphor. Here's a link to the lyrics, do you guys think it counts as a werewolf song? http://www.sammyinnit.com/2006/10/04/pl … pe-lyrics/.

Killing Moon - Echo and the Bunnymen
Under blue moon I saw you
So soon you'll take me
Up in your arms, too late to beg you
Or cancel it, though I know it must be
The killing time
Unwillingly mine
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
In starlit nights I saw you
So cruelly you kissed me
Your lips a magic world
Your sky all hung with jewels
The killing moon
Will come too soon
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
Under blue moon I saw you
So soon you'll take me
Up in your arms, too late to beg you
or cancel it though I know it must be
The killing time
Unwillingly mine
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
You give yourself to him
La la la la la...
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him
You give yourself to him
La la la la la...
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give your...self to him
Fate
Up against your will
Through the thick and thin
He will wait until
You give yourself to him

Bella Morte's The Stranger
Darkness comes like fear into the waiting world tonight
I watch the full moon gather through the black clouds in the sky
Another dim-lit room with staring shadows all around
I sit and wait for them to change with bloodshed on my mind
The air is filled with screams tonight
The air is filled with madness
I will fight until they claim my life
I have become what I despise
They watch me still with cat-like eyes that see into my thoughts
The moon is creeping higher through the heavy, stagnant air
Soon the change will happen and I’ll let my silver fly
My judgment falls, a heavy fist, until Death takes my life
I look into my past to find the reasons why I’m left alone
My heaven, will be revenge for those I’ve lost to them
There's also Star Industry's Bloodmoon.. but I don't have the lyrics handy..

Hello, I realize I may be reviving a dead thread but...
Has anyone still got any songs by Kamatu? I'd like to have them... pay for them, whatever.
Sorry for semi-SPAM, but this is rather important to me... so anyone?

One more song by the good old Misfits.... Halloween 2. It's in Latin (!) but is meant to be a chant that would turn someone into a werewolf. It's really eerie and tribal-sounding. The lyrics translate as:
Ancient formulas of exorcisms and excommunications,
That witches and those made wolves believe
I maim now the demon clothed in wolf-skin
Having to hide in the hollow of a tree
I say were-wolves can change shapes

thanks guys, I wonder if craddle of filth made more werewolf songs, besides those named, can anybody find that info for me??????
