Well, I guess whatever happens, happens. I've never had any problems with my bones hurting but rarely on accation I do have migrains that are unbarable to stand for days.
Most times if I dream of being a wolf I can't recall ever shifting in a dream. Mabe I have a time or two but I'm always already a wolf and a lot of times without even knowing it.

No, I don't ever remember shifting in my dreams either. I'm always one or the other.

I have dreams of being a wolf, but I agree with the others in I never actually see the shift. As far as the aching, although this is a theroy of mine so take it in a complete opinion,I have phantom shifts were it feels as if I am shifting but i'm not.

i've shifted in dreams. man, it's crazy.

I've dream shifted. The one thing I noticed was that I got closer to the ground. It was pretty cool.

There is/was a pack of coyotes living in the woods and fields behind my mother's house. When I lived with her, I would often howl with them (the sound carried like nuthin' else). We always knew when they had pups with them because of the bursts of "yip-yip-yip-yip-yip" punctuating the adult's long sonorous notes. Others in the family were frightened when they'd wake up and hear the pack singing. I was comforted.
Hey......anyone know where I could get my paws on a recording of coyote or wolf pack sings?

Fuzzball, do a Web search on "wolf howl wav mp3", You should ome up with plenty of recordings.
Whenever I answer coyote howls, they shut up. A Werecoyote told me that I sound too much like a wolf - I don't have enough higher harmonics.
I call the situation where the body tries to physically shift a pseudo-shift. Mine are not particularly painful but extremely uncomfortable.

I guess I was born a werewolf, but just now found out I was one. And ya, the pains really hurt, specially around legs .

What do you mean about pains? Like having cramps in your leg?
Could you associate having cramps with a shift? Yeah, that would be very uncomfortable.

Phantom shifts can be painful,I can only imagine how bad a physical shift would feel,if it were real.

Ever heard of painful pleasure? heh That's what it's like for me. Hurts like hell, but I accept it an it feels good too *grinz*

I guess you could call them "cramps." Kind of feels like someone is pulling on your body, stretching it out. Very uncomfortable when your in the middle of doing something...

Maybe the acceptance is part of the pleasure? Pain is not as bad a thing when we do not fight to supress it.
