Heeeeeey White!
I'm pretty good, but it's been like every other day this week so far. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be better, though! What about you?
Thanks! It took me a while to get it to the correct size...I wish this thing would do what most other message boards do and shrink the image itself without me having to do it in Microsoft Paint.
Offline
Hahahahahaha, glad to hear. What are you up to tomorrow?
I'm doing just fine. Had a pretty routine day, got a lot of work done, and then late in the afternoon I went out blueberry picking with my dad.
Hahahahahahahahahahaha, shoot, I know what you mean!!!!
The few times that I've switched between my avatars, it's taken forever!
Offline
Possible karaoke.
So you're not the only one who had a routine day, then? And blueberry picking, ehhhh? I remember when we had an apple tree in Colorado right in our yard and basically had an endless supply of apples and we'd always go pick them, haha. Did you enjoy yourself?
YES! It's annoying. That's why I don't change avatars too often, and when I do, I like to make sure it's already the right size..
Offline
Hahahahahahahaha, that'll be fun! You need to take a video.
Hahahahaha, guess not. Yeah, it was a lot of fun.
I enjoy getting hot and sweaty every once and a while.
Hahahahahaha, me too.
Offline
Yes, it will be! And no, no, NO! I don't want that shite caught on videotape, EVER!
Well, that's good! So do I, if it's like...going to Disney/Universal Studios.
Or if it's going to a show and getting in a pit.
Offline
Hahahahahahahahahaha, ah, come on.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha, Totali, you're something
You know, now with the new avatar, I'm going to look at you in a completely different way.
Offline
If I end up making a total fool of myself, I really don't want the world to see that!
I guess...I'm not crazy, though.
How so?
Offline
Hahahahahahahaha, too bad. Maybe it'd become famous on youtube!
Famous words.
Hahahaha, well, back when you had the weird eye thing, I wasn't really sure what to think. My view of you was sort of as some sort of mystic-crazy person for a while. Then you got the wolf avatar, and my view became more of a typical, kind of boring person
, and now with the new one my first impression is sort of teen-wolf dude person.
Offline
Yay! I'd be seen as a Youtube celebrity and end up on Tosh.0. (ever seen that?)
...!
Oh. Well. I guess that my beliefs would be considered mystic by some, but I don't take them quite far enough to be 'crazy'. Or even if I do...well...oh well!
Ah...well, I'm glad I removed that one then.
And as for the new one, I guess it'd be sorta accurate.
Yours makes me think of basically somebody who's just...really nice, haha.
Offline
Exactly! (nope
)
What are they? Hahahahahaha, naw, it was neat. I just mean, I don't know. Hahahahahahahaha, I think it's neat because I think of random werewolf movies when I see it (and by random werewolf movies, considering I've only seen like 2 or 3 total, that's not many
). Thanks!
Offline
Tosh.0 is a show on COmedy Central in which Daniel Tosh basically just broadcasts a bunch of funny internet videos. He also gives "web redemptions" where people who had embarrassing videos on the 'net can redeem themselves!
I'm pretty sure most people would consider Therianthropy mystical, that's all I was talkin' about. Only 2 or 3!? Well, most werewolf movies do kinda suck, but there are some good ones you probably haven't seen!
Have you seen "Ginger Snaps"? "The Howling" (the ending SUUUUCCCKKKS but the rest of the movie is good)? "Big Bad Wolf" (which has a Freddy Kruegerish werewolf - in other words, he makes smartass remarks before he kills people!)?
I'm not going to ask if you've seen "An American Werewolf in London" - you probably have. If you haven't...SHAME!
And, you're welcome!
Offline
Hahahahaha, sounds funny.
No, no, no, I'm really interested to hear. Please go on. I promise I won't think any differently of you.
Hahahahahaha, yeah, I'm not a big werewolf fan actually. No, I haven't seen any of those.
Not even the last.
Are the actual werewolves cool looking in those?
Offline
it is! I like his stand-up, too!
Seriously, all I was talking about was Therianthropy. It's not exactly something most people would consider normal, though I personally don't think it's any worse than being anything else as far as religion/spirituality is concerned. I'll admit that I'm considering reincarnation as a possibility, though!
Well...yeah, again, werewolf movies are terrible 90% of the time. I like reading up on werewolf mythology, though!
And the werewolves in The Howling are the reason most werewolves look the way they do in most movies today (giant bipedal wolves, basically!)!
The werewolf in "Ginger Snaps" looks kinda fake, but it's still a very well-made movie with great acting and a clever script...and it's direct-to-video!
The werewolf in "An American Werewolf in London" looks kinda cool, and it's a horror-comedy so there are plenty of funny bits, too!
I'd also suggest "Dog Soldiers", one of my favorite movies of all-time!
However, everyone in that movie has a thick Scottish accent (it's a Scottish flick, if I remember correctly!) so uh...well, I had to put the subtitles on the first time I watched it:P
Offline
Ah, ok, ok, I misread that. I thought you were into some sort of voodoo or something.
So what do you think therianthropy is?
What sort of thing do you like to read with them? Is The Howling and old film? The only thing I've ever seen with An American Werewolf in London is the transformation and that looked kind of cool. Really? It's a comedy?
I would've never guessed.
Hahahahahahaha, what's that about?
Have you ever heard of a movie called Blood and Chocolate, or something like that? I saw people talking about that once on here.
So, are you a bipedal or quadrapedal werewolf type of person?
Offline
Well, I believe in the general having-the-spirit-of-or-being-connected-to-the-spirit-of-an-animal thing, of course. But really, I don't know how to properly answer this question. I'm gonna have to figure something out, though!
Hmm...just the old, old stories, basically. Like the old Native American legends about putting on animalskin and transforming, things like that. Or the one about King Lycaon being transformed into a wolf by Zeus because he'd fed Zeus human entrails without him knowing it.
"The Howling" is from 1981, I think, so it's kinda old but not really! Well, "An American Werewolf in London" isn't a pure comedy at all, it's a horror-comedy and is equal parts comedy and horror!
As for the last one, BLOOD AND CHOCOLATE IS AWFUL DO NOT WATCH DO NOT WATCH DO NOT WAAAAAAAAATCH ALERT ALERT ALERT!!!!
Also, quadrupedal.
"Bitten" by Kelley Armstrong has quadrupedal werewolves, therefore it is awesome!

Hey! Sorry I disappeared for a few minutes, my router was acting up.
Hahahahahahaha, you have exactly ten minutes to explain it all to me.
Ah, that's really neat. Have you ever heard of a book called "Of Wolf and Men"?
AAWIL sounds like a fun movie! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! What happens???
What's Bitten? I'm 100% with you though. I like full wolves. I wouldn't want to be a werewolf if it were only partial.
Offline
...I can't do that. If you want to continue asking me questions about Therianthropy, go ahead though.
I haven't heard of "Of Wolf and Men"! What's it about?
It is a fun movie! And...well, a lot of stuff happens. A lot of things happen, too!
"Bitten" is a really great book that's probably aimed more at women who like romance novels than it is someone like me, but I'd still highly suggest it. It's got great characters, some really hilarious parts, and some good gore!
In specific though, it's about a girl named Elena. She's the only female werewolf. She's also part of a pack of werewolves that basically keep the bad werewolves from...y'know, being bad!

Ok, how does therianthropy work to you?
It's basically about everything you would ever want to know about wolves: biology, mythology, history, etc, etc. A very good book.
Hahahahahahahahaha, "movie critic" *scratch*, on Totali's list of future careers.
Hahahahahahahaha, what happens in it all?
Offline
How does it work?
Well, damn. I'm just going to be writing a full-sized novel for you about Therianthropy now, aren't I?
How it works to me...hmm.
I, again, don't know how to answer.
But I'll attempt to anyway:
-I think it works like this. You know that whole reincarnation thing I mentioned?
I think that explains it pretty well - you were once an animal in a past life, and you're still feeling the effects of that.
I've been reading up on reincarnation lately...I think it's interesting stuff and I think reincarnation makes sense. Well, to me it does.
How does it work to you? (Therianthropy, of course)
Oh, that sounds cool! I've read a couple books about wolves, namely "Never Cry Wolf" by Farley Mowat which I enjoyed despite the fact that I doubt some of the stuff in that book actually happened!
I've also read a book about the reintroduction of wolves into Yellowstone, which was quite good! Too bad I forgot the title.
I shall definitely check this one out, too!
Hahahahahaaaaa, damn straight!
I'm so bad at summarizing things. That's the best I've got, sorry. haha. Do you want a Wikipedia article?
Offline
Hahahahahahaha, interesting. Just curious.
Not sure really, and I don't really care that much to be honest. I just accept the belief that God made me the way I am for a reason.
Reincarnation would be compelling, except for the fact that someday the sun is going to explode and there won't be any Earth to live on.
Sounds interesting! Have you ever been to Yellowstone?
Offline
Ah, I see. Well, I hope I satisfied your curiosity!
I kinda believe that way too. I do believe in God - just not in a strictly Christian sense. Like...I dunno, I just can't help but believe in God. And it's all because of my Therianthropy. As far as the sun exploding and Earth dying, there are other planets in the universe.
Also, I do believe people go to an afterlife of some sort forever at some point, anyway.
Yes, I have! It's beautiful! You should go! have you gone?

Quite so.
Hahahahahaha, ever heard of the "big rip"? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Rip
Ah, yes, twice. It's an AMAZING place for sure.
Want to play guess where this is?
Offline
Good!
Oh, yeah! I was taught about that in science class! It's interesting, but scares me at the same time! Space/the universe is just really interesting in general, even if it's apocalyptic scenarios.
But it's just a hypothesis, so meh!
The universe could go on forever as well, haha.
I've only been once, but I loved it. I felt more...beastly, you could say, in the presence of all that. More in-tune with that side of me than most other times.

Oh! And sure, why not? Let's play Guess Where This Is.
I'll get it all wrong, but it'll still be fun!

Hahahahahahahaha, it can be.
Science is science... which isn't much.
Hahahahahahaha, beastly? Like you're not always?
*too good to pass up*
