Well that certainly is a reason for something to gain attention. Reading is really something wonderful, I just wish that I had more time to.

Yeah...that's one thing I enjoy about the summer, more time to read. Nothing to worry about, schoolwise...no homework assignments or tests to study for. Yeah, I get dragged places with buddies of mine...but still, I don't have to worry about waking up at a decent time. I can just stay up and read, haha. It's something I really do enjoy doing a lot...

Hahahahahahaha, it's funny. When I was in high school, the summer was always my free time to read whatever I really wanted to... now that I'm in college, I actually find that my schedule works out better to take up reading during the school year. Last year I enjoyed watching the tv show "Crusoe" which inspired me to buy the book Robinson Crusoe, which I enjoyed to a great extent. By the way, there's actually a huge wolf scene of all things towards the end of that novel. Right now I'm making my way through all the Sherlock Holmes stories, but it is taking a while.

Woot! I like Sherlock Holmes. I used to have a large book with a ton of Sherlock stories in it, but it got lost the last time we moved. Sucks, I really miss it. Which one are you on?
I've actually never read "Crusoe", despite the fact that it's a classic. I'll have to at some point.

Hahahahahahahahaha, I love them too! I've read the Hound of Baskervilles countless times, but right now I'm starting from the beginning. I've already read a Study in Scarlet and am about a third of the way done with The Sign of Four.

Yet another long stretch of has.
Are you laughing in a "haha, it looks entertaining" way or in a "haha, it looks like shite" way?

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, only I know!

It looks like an interesting movie, however, it doesn't feel "Sherlock Holmes" maybe James bond meets the 1800's.....
Offline
So says the guy who has seen a total of 3 bond movies ever...
But I actually agree 100%.
Offline
yeah.
I didn't get a Sherlock feel from it either, but it made me laugh.
I hope it doesn't suck.
Can't be as bad as Van Helsing was...
He's definitely not the one I remember in Bram Stoker's "Dracula", but I was still hoping it would be fun - the previews made it seem that way.
And that's how this one looks - fun.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, I liked Van Helsing.

Yeah it definitely wasn't the Van Helsing I know. However, I really enjoyed that movie. I found it quite fascinating how they mixed the three tails together and then mixed in a biblical theme, very cool.
Offline
well, I thought the werewolves looked cool.
But those three vampire chicks...they chose the worst actresses for them. I cheered as they died.

Hahahahahahahahaha, yeah, I have to admit, my favorite part were the werewolves... no surprise there.

Yes the werewolves have tops. I did like Dracula though. They did an interesting thing with his character and the actor was great.

yeah, I thought the guy that played Dracula was pretty good.
The guy that played Van Helsing (whose name always escapes me despite his fame...) wasn't bad either.
But...I just didn't enjoy the movie. I liked "The Mummy" and "The Mummy Returns", which were both directed by the same guy, so I expected to enjoy "Van Helsing" but I dunno...I just thought something was missing. ah well...to each their own.
I think the worst movie based on a book though has to be..."A Wrinkle in Time".
Why...why did they do that to such a wonderful novel?

I heard they were making a movie based off of the character of Solomon Kane, which is what Van Helsing was apparently based off of o_O
Anyways, he's a Puritan that kills monsters. I think it sounds awesome

I hated the vampire chicks and their out of place Jersey accents. I just thought it was tacky <_<

I was glad when they were all finally dead. It made me happy.
They based Van Helsing off of Solomon Kane?!
WHAT?!
Why would they mix up those two characters like that?!

I'm shocked
Me too! Its probably some kind of werewolf favouritism.

Now why would you guys assume that people on the Werewolf Cafe would be biased towards werewolves?
Really?

I feel no bias in here at all. *starts checking under seat cushions* Nope, no bias to be found here! Hey look! Spare change!
