I've been in contact with other Werewolves for almost 8 years now and I always figured the thing about being bit by a Werewolf causing you to become a Werewolf was a myth. Could you elaborate on that?

Thats true... I've learned that usually there's a Lycanthropic gene (which i believe is hereditary) that werewolves can somehow sniff out.... so the werewolf bite is more of an initiation than anything else.

Re: Werewolves, please read

Okay, that sounds a little more like things I've come into contact with. Though that's not a part of the rituals of the Weres I've known - doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I was bit on the ankle by another Werewolf once, but he was just being playful and I was to taken aback to catch him so that I could meticulously rip all his hair out.

I've heard of poeple doing spells to turn their shape, but I've never seen anyone do it.

OW! isn't that a little harsh?

I've never been bit and as far as I know no one in my Family has Were blood, does that make me any less werewolf?

Host: I find it hard to resist the cries of other animals, even when I was little I would howl along with them (still do now).

I do more of a snarl when I get mad, and my friends say that I have a really wicked sounding laugh...

Re: Werewolves, please read

I was bitten.
Was in the park at the age of 7 playing in the feild, and this very weird looking dog bit me. At the time, I thought it was a dog. After that....I felt different. Everything I looked at was different. I don't know how to explain it.

I was 12 when I was bitten, 13 when I learned I was a werewolf... a very weir matter, too hard to explain.

Could you describe what this strange looking dog looked like?

I dunno......But I'm one, and my real last name and family crests are dead give-aways.

Well, It had very dark fur, possible brown or black. It's ears were pointed and I remember watching it jump up and bite me in the shoulder....That really hurt. Oh and it was big. Not fat or anything, it was lean and it was probably 3/4 of my hieght (I was 7 and tall of my age).

Re: Werewolves, please read

I was reading up that being bitten by a dog can bring out the wolf in you if there is any there.  But Im not sure.  Ive heard this rumor around a number of sites.  It is interesting that it made everything seem different.  That could be what happened.

Yeah, maybe...
You know what I just realized? If a dog is growling at me, like threating me, I don't get scared. I stare back at them and get ready to use their own momentum against them if they lunge. Weird....

I prefer not to hurt dogs though, if I'm run into a situation though... I will

Re: Werewolves, please read

Most of the people I know that have been biten by Werewolves (so that it broke the skin) just bled a lot.

Most people are afraid of dogs becuse they don't know how to deal with them. Most Werewolves are flexible enough to deal with nonhuman attackers. I've never been afraid of dogs - calm or aggressive. And if they attack me, I don't at all mind hurting them. I would prefer to hurt their owners though.
