ok ok...alright well I guess I can say everyone has a bit of wolf in them whether they know or not, genetic similarityies, however random or not is in the high 80 percentile similar strings of code. rmeber that primates are anyware in the low to high 90s it all depends upon species, but canus lupus has some very serious ties to humans, such as social structure, behavior patterns, logic, i could go on and on, wolves are ver very intelligent, we also share a similar skeletal structure (spinal cord) with if im not mistaken excluding the tail, the same number of vertebrae. Also the same number of ribns, though its very common now for humans to be minus a rib, in fact its an oddity now to have an "EXTRA" rib, and I'm not exactly sure about the number of bones but somebody told me wolves hae 12 more bones than humans, ill look it up to verify so dont qoute that...
I would have to verify some of this information but my understanding is the gentic code relationship is accurate, in fact its currently being studied, apparently wolves suffer from certain diseases that humans also suffer from, possibly making it easier to extract a cure.

Y'know, that's a really tough question. I don't have a Me that isn't Wolf to compare with Me as I am to figure out what's more wolflike than a nonWerewolf.
On a recent thread on the Werelist I said that, yes, I make wolflike noises but I suspect that the only thing that keeps the average Human from doing so is specieism and pretty arbitrary cultural mores. I tend to walk on the balls of my feet but I'm not so sure that that's not the correct way to walk for humans - I turn my ankles much less when I walk like that.
The phantom body - I suspect that's unique to Werewolves and the tendancy to be a wolf or partial wolf in dreams seems to be a Werewolf thing.
Most Humans are extreme game players (I'm talking specifically about the kinds of life games the Eric Berne wrote about). Like a lot of Werewolves I know, I tend to not play many games (a Vampire friend once described us a "guileless"). I suspect that that's very wolflike. I interact with others on much more of an empathic bases and less of a verbal basis than most humans and I'm much more vigilant with by non visual senses. I'm also more sensitive to changes in my environment. Slight motions attrcat my attention.
Like most wolves, I don't like crowds - they're sensory overloads to me. I like close contact with other Therians - including sleeping in "piles". I'm suspicious of strangers but not so much as to prevent me from being "curious".
And, yes, I do mark my territory either literally (when I'm camping) or figuratively (no I don't pee on my walls at home.)

I mark my territory so that other dogs in my nieborhood know that I'm around.
I piss on the walls if I miss the seat!!

Well, I'm sure there's some "splash" that gets out and around but I don't intentionally hose down my bedroom wall....

Oh my God, that's too funny!

I "mark" my territory, not the way wolves or dogs do but instead from my enemies, not much of them but the ones that are my enemie wonder quite alot.... plus i have like... a pack where I am like the beta wolf(2nd in charge) next to my best friend

GentleWOLFmen, could you please stop talking about "marking" the walls? That's kind of disgusting and this isn't the South Park website so keep the Werewolf Cafe clean? Ok?

I think we will need some Mr. Clean in this forum today...topic please.

I can scratch my head with my foot like a dog or wolf would do. That entertains my friends! lol!

I'm loyal to friends & family. Somewhat protective of certain things or people. I used to have long brown hair, but it's short now. Easier to take care of. I used to run, but living in a big city sorta put a damper on that. I live in a small one now, but it's still hard to get "out".

What characteristic... hmmmmmmm.
When I look at a wolf, I feel I am looking in a mirror. I live very much in the moment, and feel the most at home outside. I relate very well to animals. I used to walk on the balls of my feet all the time when I was young - my parents had to force me to stop. Large crowds make me uncomfortable. I am very sensitive to loud noises. I growl every once in a while.
