Here's my take:
The one on the top is the actual pack leader, despite what the dumb young'un leaping in with claws and teeth going thinks.  I figure maybe Pup is going to learn just why the rest are looking before they get all agressive.

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

What I love about this drawing, howlitzer, is that the werewolves have shorter muzzles, but still keep their lupine appearance. So that way, they're not just creatures with a wolf's head, but more of a merger between man and wolf. I also like the claws, which show similar merging of the two species.

lol yeah, you could be right. Interpret it however you see it...I didn't read that far into it at the time, I just drew it. (if that makes any sense)

Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

Haven't done one in a while, so it's time for another shameless picture repost so newcomers aren't searching through 36 pages of scattered pictures. Earliest ones are at the top, so if you're looking for new stuff...scroll down.

It's also kinda interesting to see how my style has changed or improved a little bit since I came here hmm

And Blue...please don't quote this whole post if you reply. You do that a lot...and it takes up a lot of space...lol. (the same goes for everyone else)

first werewolf pic:
http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/6161/wmcpo9.th.jpg

Dragon pic that I drew a while ago:
http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/2897/dragonfi6.th.jpg

here's another dragon...
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/5041/drgkf9.th.jpg

and this one literally started out as a scribble that just *happened* to look like a muzzle, then it turned into a face, then I kept going to see if I could do a background. I didn't like it that much...it looks too much like my first one and this next one...
http://img223.imageshack.us/img223/7269/wmbckil1.th.jpg

yet another one, experimenting with some shading and stuff...
http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/2802/wm4ee3.th.jpg

Here's a transformation sequence...MarkOne wanted to see me do one...so I did...

sorry for anyone with a small monitor, it's huge.
http://img175.imageshack.us/img175/5263/wsfinal2qy4.th.jpg

a quick cat drawing I did, I figured I would return to an old favorite
http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/5945/tig1sl2.th.jpg

Here's a really old one I found while going through some school stuff. It's not original, obviously...I did it for a poster for an English assignment a few years ago, before I had really started drawing again.... for some reason on this particular poster, I didn't want a single piece of paper glued onto the poster....I wanted a *clean* poster....so I chose the most time consuming method and used pencil and sharpies on the whole thing.....the teacher was kinda surprised since she didn't know I had an artistic bone in my body. I used the "Eragon" cover as reference, but it isn't traced.
http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/7426/eragon2hg0.th.jpg

this one I did using a photo from a calender I had lying around. After seeing Montana's last wolf pic I had to try one for myself wink
http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/9912/wolf2fq.th.jpg

I'm not sure where in my head it came from, it kinda just happened...the pencil version doesn't have feet because I was stupid and started too far down the page
http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/66/robotud6.th.jpg http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/162/robotcolorzo4.th.jpg

here's a quick thing I did....I pretty much stole the idea from the SoBe Lizard Lava logo on the bottle I was drinking at the time... followed by the OCD photoshop color version...
http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/4738/boardwolfgt2.th.jpg http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/4592/boardwolf4zv1.th.jpg

This one...I'm not quite sure...I was eating old chinese food at the time hmm
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/2118/wolfhalfyn9.th.jpg

And here's a lizard...thing...kinda...
http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/9936/lizardfmh9.th.jpg

AND here's a jaguar...thing...kinda (oh yeah, really creative names here)
http://img291.imageshack.us/img291/4975/jaguar3qb2.th.jpg

and here's a kinda tribal/tattoo wolf design I made...
http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/8868/blackwolfsgt5.th.jpg

Here's a step-by-step on the werewolf mask I made.
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/6638/p1010155tq4.th.jpghttp://img164.imageshack.us/img164/1118/p1010157wg2.th.jpg

My first attempt at doing a picture almost entirely in photoshop....and an example of how I couldn't make up my mind on coloring hmm
http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/4293/doorblackslk0.th.jpg http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/108/doorbrownstw5.th.jpg http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/7854/doorwhitessn1.th.jpg

Another werewolf. Pissed off apparently *snarl*
http://img487.imageshack.us/img487/3433/attacksqm6.th.jpg

ANOTHER werewolf, slightly different design than I usually do. With and without background.
http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/195/save0059ssrd3.th.jpghttp://img135.imageshack.us/img135/9491/alleywayta8.th.jpg

And my latest picture, pretty much finished. I might do a little bit of a background, but mainly I just need to fix up a few minor details.
