Yeah... In the old days, you know, you could barely move in here. For some reason, all of the people that used to be the life and soul of this place just stopped showing up after a while. Not me though, like I said, I'm not going anywhere. Nowhere else to go, nothing else to do except stay here and chat with anyone who happens to come in that door.

I wonder if my larynx can be fixed...I'm tired of sounding like a chain smoker doing a death metal song.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised...
*I trail off, reminiscing*
Eh? Oh, sorry about that.

Hmmm...some idiot at the Town Center tried to buy marijuana from me. I have no idea how he thought I dealt. Maybe it was the black leather coat and the Djarum Black cigarette I was smoking?

Could be, maybe you were just in the wrong place in the wrong time, and someone mistook you for someone else.
*I notice that my tape recorder is still running*
Damn, I thought I turned that off at the end of the last song, it's been going all this time. I've got to rewind it and tape over it now.
*I rewind the tape*

That could be the case, but I doubt it...
Why don't you use a digital recorder? It's so much better than tape ones.

Nah, I've got one of those, it's a lot harder to use. Too much of a pain in the butt to record and delete and whatnot.
*I lift up my backpack and put it on the table*
See, this thing has just about everything in it. Almost literally, everything. Except a kitchen sink...
*I rummage around in the bag*
Nope, I've got one of those too.

GLaDOS? Really? I thought I got rid of this...
*I chuck it back in the bag*

Tell me, do you have an accountant in there, because I need someone to do my taxes for me, b/c I can't concentrate for that long of a period.

Nah, sorry. The best I've got is a phone, and a phonebook.
*I pull out a phone -- several phones in fact. An assortment of different telecommunications devices ranging from old-style phones, to phones that were made before they had dials, to the most modern cell phones, and a large phone book*
there ya go, yellow pages. Look under 'A'.

OK, we have...Arthur Andersen LLP...I'm not sure if I should use them, any advice?

Not sure. The only way for you to find out if they're any good is to phone and see for yourself, I guess. I don't have a time machine, so...

If I remember correctly, Arthur Andersen LLP was an accessory to Enron's accounting fraud.

Ah, so yeah... don't call them then. I don't keep up with the news as much as I should, probable, so I wouldn't have known that.

((Wow, I was just looking back at old posts from, like, when I was new here, geez, I was annoying, and I had horrible internet-grammar. I'm surprised anyone put up with me back then...))

*I prep the tape recorder again*
All right, this next song was written by the not-late, still-great Bowser and Blue.
*I get out a guitar and start playing the intro*
There's a feeling I get in the morn
It reminds me of where I was born
And it seems to climb
Through the dark mists of time
Making me feel like I'm
Back home
Oh the times, and the places I've seen
Still I yearn for those sweet fields of green
And the infinite sky under which I may lie
Always knowing that I'm back home
Oh won't you please take me back home
To the valleys and hills of my own
Like the comforting bliss of a mother's soft kiss
To the place that I miss when I roam
Won't you please take me back home
*guitar interlude*
I'm going back to the place I was raised
Where the sheep and the cattle still graze
Oh the soft southern breeze
And the sounds of the trees
Are all taking me back home
Oh won't you please take me back home
To the valleys and hills of my own
To the comforting bliss of a mother's soft kiss
To the place that I miss when I roam
Won't you please take me back home
Won't you please take me back home
*guitar outro, I stop the tape recorder and put the guitar away*
